View Full Version : quick Q
whats the difference between an EG6 and an EG9 I know the EG stands for the 92-95 body style but I've seen where sites (usually jdm sites) refer to the 6 and 9 and wondered what the difference was

I believe EG6 is the hb and an EG9 is the sedan body style.

EG6 B16A JDM All 3-door/4-door/CR-X
EG9 B16A JDM All 3-door/4-door/del Sol CR-X
So probably not much difference

but if EG stands for 92-95 body style, why would a distinction be made between the CR-X and the del Sol CR-X? after 92, it was all assumed del Sol CR-X, right?

EG doesn't really denote the 92-95 body style... there's another E? for JDM civics and Same goes for canadian and USDM civics...
Just FYI.
For example my ex is a EH1.
