Clinton...smart guy, good policy maker, fucking liar. I actually liked him right up until he looked into a camera and lied with straight face...then broke down and told the truth. But of course people who think Bush is doing a good job will always point at him getting a hummer under his desk at what a "failure" he was. Better than Bush...but I hate picking the lesser of two evils.

I did...until he started with the lying. I mean...I know that all politicians lie, but how hard is it to come clean (no pun intended) about an getting some head? True, it was with an unattractive skany...but Paula Jones wasn't exactly a trophy. If he would've just told the truth I would've wanted to shake his hand and possibly say "way to go on the hummer". Hell...this is the same kind of thing JFK was down with. But that was Marilyn Monroe...not some skeezy intern. All in all a better president than he was a liar.

I dont even really care if he was having sex with whomever...he was a good pres. IMO if ur the president you should be able to screw anyone ya want just cause all of their wives are ugly...except a few of them...Im really tired right now so ignore anything I just said or somethin glike that...

His stuff is really good, I think. His novels are based in California for some reason...every story I've read, the scene is Cali...

That's BULLSH!T... Clinton Kept more campaign promises than ANY of his 5 predisesors (sp)... He also got TONS done considering he went about it wrong...
Clinton stepped in and made it CLEAR that he was going to try to push through as much as possible of his agenda...
THAT is when he lost the house/senate... THAT is what stopped any progress...
Conservitives blocking anything and everything they could just to get something by him/the left stopped...
He accomplished TONS.... think about how "liberal" society is after his 8 years... coming DIRECTLY out of the Reagan/Bush years... if that's not saying something I don't know what is...
He set asside TONS of wildlife refuge's... did TONS for international relations (well not like that matters now), had more miltary involvement around the world than previous presidents... for FAR FAR FAR more moral and less economic/world shaping reasoning...
YES he made mistakes and he's by no means the greatest president ever... but to say we could've had a pet rock that would've done as well is just rediculous...
BACK ON TOPIC...
I saw an interview with him about the book on PBS... dude he is SOOO goddam smart its rediculous... and he also seems to be a geniunely GOOD guy with good intentions...
The book sounded REALLY interesting which was a TOTAL shock to me as I HATE politics and books...
It's written chronologically to give the average person an idea of ALL the different things that a president may have to deal with in the course of one day. or one period in time...
It sounded quite interesting... generally presidents just do an over view of what they did accomplish where they failed and what they wish they had done different... you never really get an inside look as to what it was like to be president on a daily basis...
HE ALSO address's TONS of negative issues with a more than fair hand...
It was OBVIOUS that the interviewer wasn't a "fan"... and he gave Clinton credit left and right on being hard on himself...
OH... AND Clinton even defended and talked up GW... Talking about how he knew the Gore camp was underestimating him...
He also defended just about everyone in politics saying that just about EVERYONE in politics IS fighting for what they believe is right... the problem is that the two sides see everything differently... so progess is hard fought.
I watched about an hour of the interview and EVERY SINGLE word out of his mouth was well thought out and intelligent...
EVEN stuff he didn't really want to talk about...
"Golden tongue" my a$$ that dude is freaking brilliant... regardless of what you think of him or his opinions...

I'm not one for politics by far....I'm not even registered to vote, but I like Bill Clinton. He's human, he makes mistakes, may lie about it, but fesses up to it. Aren't we all guilty of these?
And to answer the question at hand, no, I probably won't read his book. Not my type of book.

i dont particularly like or dislike clinton, but this reminds me of jack lemmons presidential musium from "my fellow americans" he's an x-president trying to keep his name alive.
oh and i have no intentions on reading this book, mainly because its not my life and i dont even think i'd read a 900 page book about me.
