Just rcently I've been feeling a lot of voids in my life...like I have absolutely nothing to look forward to...no one or nothing really to think about...just feeling like you're just floating about through life??
Im a pretty optimistic and idealistic person with goals and dreams...but lately...I've just been feeling like Im lost in the void...anyone ever feel this way?

All the freakin time. For me its called the "I'm STILL in the Marine Corps Blues." It gets better though. Something will happen or you will meet someone and you will feel better.

Just a thought from the other side of the tracks (I.E. me):

Have you ever thought about the possibility of God loving you, and sending Christ to die for you?

I used to feel pretty useless/hopeless until I became a Christian - and now I have a purpose and something to look forwards to.

Just a thought from a Christian's perspective. Alternatively, you could rob banks for a living...I've always wanted to. :bandit:

A quick side note: Why do people say things like this like it's a good thing. That's like me getting married and having kids and telling my wife "you know honey...I know you've screwed up recently and you've been feeling down. How's about I kill one of the kids? That'd make ya feel better, right?". Sorry General...I'm not taking a dig at you or christianity...it's just that the the logic of that statement eludes me. It sounds like something Jack Chick (http://www.chick.com/) might say...and he's batshit insane. Nobody wants to be insane.

Kool-Aid...those kinds of things usually come and go. I feel that way a good part of the time, but I just keep thinking that everything I'm doing now will hopefully pay of in the future. Maybe, maybe not but here's to hoping.

I must agree with GT. I've been all over this great big world we have here and seen some pretty f***ed up things. G-D is on vacation IMO.

Well General, I am also a Christian as well...but my Christianity, I don't think, has anything to do with the way I feel...I could pray about it and see what happens.
GT40FIED, something in the future may come about and change the way I feel...it's just that it ain't coming quick enough...whether it be money to get that turbo going or it could be a knight in shining armor...I don't know...
SFKing...you should try harder to get laid...he he he... ;)

Why not? In my eyes, I'm more important...I'm tangible too, that's gotta count for something. But I suppose metaphors are lost on you Az.

Hmm...

What I was saying is that [I believe] that God loves you, and when life sucks or whatever (like it does for me right now) I've found that the Bible has an answer for any problem that I've ever been faced with.

Sorry if I came off sounding cracked out or something...didn't mean anything by it.

See...I know that's what you meant...it's just that a lot of people use that weird sort of logic to convey the idea.

Ok...for the update of my voids...I still have them but at least now I have some sort of sense of direction...some things planned and dreampt about...

I personally don't think so...do you think it is a sin and why do you think so??
