hmm well couldn't you just take your engine out, rebuild it (pistons, rods rings) and save a shitload more money and run more boost??

the pistons are no good!? usually pistons dont just go bad. pistons rings?
either way have the engine rebuilt, parts should be less than a grand for aftermarkets that'll take whatever you can throw at em.

i have talk to the shop and they found me a 1998 ex w/ 28,000 miles, so i think i will go with the swap, at the same time i am getting a ACT clutch added when they start, thank you for you feed back

Id check on the price of that and then compare it to rebuild w/ beefier parts...take the smarter choice

Best idea I've heard other than a swap...

they are selling it for 1000 w/ install and tuning, so its a good price,i really just want to run 5 to 7 psi, for now see how it feels if i like it then i will buy all the mods i need this winter then take to the next level

no, its not a good price
The motor you could get for 1/2 that and install it yourself in about a weekend (if youve never done it before) 5hrs if you have.
If I were you Id seriously get different parts - ie pistons (if thats what is really needed) and just keep the engine thats already in there
It would be less than $1k
