hello, i just got done reading the post about detailing your car by impact23. great article by the way! i just have one question. i just now got my hood, fender, and door fixed and painted. i plan on detailing my car. should i avoid claying, polishing, and glazing this parts until my next yearly scheduled detailing day. and just wax it or what. thank you very much.

i think the paint needs a month to completely cure before you can apply the wax and detergent to the paint.

When I got my bumper painted, I was told a minimum of 60 days before waxing. I had a friend who was told 30 days with his stuff.
I'd leave it 60 days to cure before I touched it though.

use only water is what i was told. when i had my car painted the first time they just told me to use water and no kind of soap. Then id just use some meguires detailer spray on it just to get somewat of a shine.
