This is quite a strange occurence in my car. I just replaced the fuel filter in my car (lord knows the last time it was changed) and after starting up, I noticed that the cylinder #2 spark plug wire seemed to be floating:confused: . It also didn't seem to want to go down all the way. Now when I say floating, I mean that you could visually see it moving up and down. I'm totally confused on what the hell is going on. On a better note, my engine runs supremely better with the replaced filter. There is still a mis-fire though. :banghead: this friggin car is gonna be the end of me... :dollar:

umm take that plug wire out and see if you got oil on it. my guess is that the oil made the boot dilate like crazy and that's where the misfire is from. if you have oil you are in for some royal pains in the rear

***UPDATE***

I was messin with my car today and remebered a time when I had checked the spark plugs for connection. So I checked the tightness of the plugs. Bingo baby. All of them were floating, but #2 was the most obvious. I checked it first only to find that it was dangerously loose (I can't even think of a metaphor to describe it's loose ness). After a thorough tightening, None of the wires floated and it also kind fixed my idle problem (low sometimes, right on otherdays.) Cool beans.

Out
