Has anyone ever met someone who sparks your interest and getting to know them you get this feeling that it isn't meant to be to be together?

That happens to me all the time actually....which is most likely why I'm still single. I'll be attracted to a guy and then as I start to find out more about them and get to really know them, my feelings may change and any interest I had for them is completely gone. It may be because they turn out to be cocky or have no sense of humor or lack any possible chance for an intelligent conversation. Looks only you get you so far and if you lack in other departments, then bye-bye.

Let's say you've been talking to this girl for a couple of weeks or even days and you had great interest in her and somewhere along those couple of days or weeks...you've just suddenly lost interest...

Yah I haven't figured out yet what the deal is with T though Er. You're interested, then you're not, then you are again, and then you aren't. I'm always confused!
I don't know if that situation has ever happened to me though. I normally try to give the people the benefit of the doubt....and try to spend more time with them. Normally I'm the one that they end up not being interested in :paranoid: I guess I'm not datable.:o

Erin has very high standards, but they're fairly simple ones that you'd expect anyone to have....she just wants them bundled in a fairly attractive package.
I've gotten to be a little more willing to give guys that I typically wouldn't go after more of a chance. If it works...great., but if not, oh well at least I can say I tried.

Yes, unfortunately I have high standards. But I wouldn't necessarily say that I need them bundled up in a fairly attractive package.....looks aren't everything. I've been attracted to plenty of guys who haven't been drop dead gorgeous, but they have plenty of other qualities that make them attractive.

I knew you'd misunderstand me....I didn't know how to phrase it so that it would come out right....:paranoid: I know that you've been attracted to guys that aren't drop dead, but you also want someone that is presentable and that takes care of himself. I'm the same way though.

Oh I gotcha. Yeah, I did misunderstand it, but I know what you mean now. And yes, I do like the guy to be presentable and look like he takes care of himself.

I honestly think there are good guys and girls out there. The single ones are single for other reasons then they let on.

Hey now!!! Call me what you will but I'm tired of everyone tellin me that I'm too picky and stand-offish and all the other shit that they call me. Apparently there is something wrong with me because I won't go out on a date with just any guy and I'm 23 and not married. I thought society was working past that stereotype that women must have a guy to take care of them and support them????? And that people in our generation are waiting longer to get married.......

Hey D its not a personal attack...
As for you not being married no ones saying anything along those lines. I know people who are 20 and never had a serious relationship, and its because of who they are.

People tell me that I am stand-offish all the time...but I think it's good...it'll keep all the punks and chumps away...he he he. A real man will approach you whether you are stand-offish or not...
