What's up with the teacher showing a beheading of the guy on video to little kids in grade school? Did you guys hear about that?

Yeah I heard about it.. He didnt show the actual beheading, he showed the events that lead up to it, to his 8th grade class. I think they need to know what goes on in the real world.. :D

Hell its not like it wasnt all over the news anyhow.

I didn't know that he only showed the video up to that point...I still don't think that kids should even see that...

The news is saying that he only showed the moments "leading up to" the beheading. Initially some kids told thier parents they SAW the beheading, but that was later found out not to be the complete truth.

As for violence, why not? Hell they watch TV everyday, they play video games, a lot of them probably have toy guns, or BB guns.. Why try to shield the kids from reality? I could understand younger kids, but these are 8th graders.. They are old enough to know what the hell goes on.

Its really not the teacher's place to decide whether to show a beheading to his students. If he got permission, etc. that's just fine.

At least he [allegedly] didn't show the actual event.

I didn't know how old these kids were...I thought they were younger...like 4th graders or something...

i think 8th graders are still dumb enough to see something like that and not have the rationale to realize that the "middle eastern kid" possibly sitting right next to them in class isnt to blame and didnt have anything to do with it.

middle school kids are about the dumbest of the school going population, looking for anything to exclude someone from their group and ready to use anything to make fun of others.

Some 18yr. olds I know couldn't cope with seeing that... even the leading up to...

It's no where near responsible of that teacher to decide a trial by fire is the best way to wake up his class...

Yea, well, I don't think that teacher got into too much trouble...I think the news reporter had said that the teacher was vieweing that video on his computer and the kids had crept up behind him or something and they saw what they saw...something like that...

Some DJs played the sounds on air here in Portland, Or. They were crackin jokes about it too I guess and were all fired afterwards.

Damn...that's crazy...why woulds they do something like that? The guy who got beheaded was American right? I didn't get to see the video. How'd he even get in that situation in the first place? I know it has something to do with the prison stuff that had happened...I think...

Its called freedom of speech. They can do whatever they want, thats not to say there wont be actions taken for them doing it.
