If anyone can give me some pointers on getting the low-end torque up I would really really appreciate it b/c it basically sucks right now!

Hmm.... a little mod you could do is to get some underdrive pulleys. They will help some and don't cost much.

Thanks for the help.. I'll do the sparks and the pulleys now
a SC is totally out of my price range. Plus I'm wondering if I should keep my engine or swap it out. hmmmmm?

Well, in all honesty, if you don't have the money to get a SC, you probably don't have the money to do a good engine swap. Either save up, or do some minor mods to the one you have.

Always something to consider. Have you thought about that FeelMyRide or do you need boltons so you will always have the power?

Isn't nitrous bad (for a 90k engine)? I was thinking of getting a baby tank later on just for those nights when I want some fun.. but I'm mostly looking for over all power all the time

Well, with a 90k engine, you'd have to be sure it was in great condition (compression, seals, etc.), but if I were you, I'd stick with bolt-ons.

as for the 300Z TT motors, they arent too reliable when power is involved unless quite a few mods are done. at all.

B18C5 imo, is not worth the hefty price tag. i can get em for $4900, complete swap. and b18c1 for $3300. with the extra $1600 you could make it rather comparable. at least close enough imo. and h22....well its heavy, i like taking turns fast, doesnt work well if you enjoy fast turns

Thanks sooo much that website did wonders for me.. after reading everything I narrowed it down to either a B16b or a B18c.. as I read more I was looking more toward the GSR engine its easier to install and basically fits in like stock. So I think I've decided.. now I just need to save up

How is it that you don't have the budget for a SC, but you do for a B16B or B18C?

Yeah, the money saved could be put into mods, etc, unless you're just dying for the B16 :P

but its pointless to do those mods now if I am just going to swap it out later. And also I don't know any reliable mechanics that I can trust with my civic. Maybe I'll do it.. whats the worse I could do? ;)
