I know that my civic has been sitting in the parking lot on base without getting started up for the two months I've been here...Im sure that there will be something wrong with my car since it's been just sitting there...now Im wondering what could possibly go wrong with my car just sitting there? Leaks? Dead battery? Anything? So I'll know what to expect when I get home...

maybe a dead battery if you have a power drain. Maybe a little rust that you didn't have before, but its doubtful.

So nothing serious needs to be either fixed or replaced then right?

probably not, but then again you won't really know until you go and start it.

Just do an oil change before any serious driving and you should be fine. Hell...the Mustang sat for over 6 months at one point in time before the motor swap and after an oil change and a new battery it was good to go.

Expect a dead battery and maybe low tires.. that's what I get after every one of my deployments.

MaxedOut...I am in Iraq bro...
Ok, I'll just get a tune-up and get a new battery and we'll see what happens...

You might have flat spots on your tires from them sitting in the same place....what I did when I was in Korea was put my car on jack stands to keep that from happening. But you most likely will have a dead battery and at most will need a jump start. Definitely get an oil change asap and get some of that stuff that takes the moisture out of your gas. Other then that you should be good........

My del sol sits all of winter..
I get in..put the battery in..and bingo...starts perfectly everytime.
I drive it into the garage..and do an oil change!
