Here she is going maximum speed. Well, not really - I achieved maximum speed about 3 seconds later when I hit 124 in 5th gear. (this pic is in 4th gear). Notice the Tach off on the left-hand side - right about 7000 RPM's

Fastest I've ever had the Mustang on a highway is 136mph...speed courtesy of a state trooper (no ticket though...mwahahaha). I've done a bit more on a track. the problem is that my car has a federally mandated (at the time) 85mph speedo so after 85mph I have no clue how fast I'm going. I need to get myself one of the "police model" 140mph speedos.

My old speed record on my RL was 130mph but last summer I broke that and hit in the area of 150mph. They said the car was limited to 130 but I guess my chip was removed:bandit:

I dont know why you guys would drive that fast in a civic or delso. Those cars are so tiny and on such small rubber, God knows I wouldnt go that fast in an RL again. I know it all feels good but if you have to react to something on the road, neither your breaks or suspension are designed to work at those speeds.

I remember racing an M3 on the way back from Ajax on the 401 we got up to 150 (i'm assuming thats where its limited) and just sat there. It appeared as though there was a black cop car on the side of the road. Well the M3 must have just stood on his breaks and so I got on mine. There wasnt much there, yes the car started to slow down but the pads heated up really fast and I got alot of break fade.

I cant imagine what it'd be like in a civic.

Good fun though, an hour long drive was cut down to 20ish minutes

Fastest was 140 in my mustang (speedo ended at 140), and the thing was squirrely as all hell. Current speedo in the chevy goes to 200mph so I doubt I will run outa speedo next time.

It was a blast.

And for you safety freaks out there -
I was on a LONG (6 mile) two-lane road where I could see WAAAY in front of me and it was out in the open, and I checked the area for cops, and it was like 12 at night.

I had my Teg up to 140 (at 5300 ft- altitude) before I sold it. I had about 900 left on the tach, but I had to slow down to get my exit.

I have had the max and teg to around 140. The max was when i raced a kid in a bmw that thought he was bad ass so he had his ass handed to him.
