View Full Version : So I can get a 90 dx for cheeeep.... swap b16a/18c?
Hey. I can get a 90dx that runs, but runs really really harshly. I don't know anything about engines or anything like that, but how much would a complete swap done by somebody else cost?
Power isn't that important, as long as it can keep up with my friend's RSX hehe.... (nah, just joking around... whatever's peppy that wont feel super sluggish)
Anyway... suggestions?

before anyone says swap, turbo, or anything, please read the thread at the top of the civic forum page
"Why should i swap out my d series" or something like that
Thanks, I've skimmed through it. The swap isn't for performance, it's for reliability. The engine is pretty much shot, that's why if I get a decent engine <50k mi it should extend the life of the car.
Thanks.

If u arent too worried about performance then have it rebuilt. Engine swaps take time, dedication, and money. Not to mention if u go with the wrong place u could get a bad engine and u would have to do it all over again. If u have it rebuilt by a reputable place then u dont have to worry about that headache of a swap.

well I guess I say swap it
you can do it in 1 day if youre lucky/know what youre doing
if you do swap, just be sure you get it from a reliable place.
