yeah that's pretty much it. The reason it ruins kazaa is because its spyware.

you still should get bazooka (its better for spyware)
I only use spybot for spyware-based cookie deletion
(If you dont want spyware, you should get rid of kazaa asap)

i'm kinda confused on this program "bazooka" i did the scan and then it directs to otehr sites to DL more crap to uninstall stuff...and now its sayin for me to delte stuff from control panel add/remove...is this all correct it seems like a lenghty process

no, they arent downloads
theyre links to instructions on how to manually remove programs via the registry.
as long as you remove what it says (and nothing more) then you'll be fine and all spyware will be removed.
Bazooka is not an automatic program, the user does all the removal work.
you know the saying "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself"

alotta the stuff they said to look in control panel i did not have...but why is it still comin up in bazooka..i did delte one thign however and then it said to restart my pc and delte somethign else but i did not kno how to....sorry for being such a pain but i didtn realize these popups can fuck u up....thanx pdiggs
I just installed bazooka and ran a scan...3 files found, 2 deleted/removed/otherwise....but then there's this
"Rename %SystemDir%\cpan.dll to %SystemDir%\delme.delme
Note: %SystemDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP)."
My question is once I'm in safe mode, how to I locate "%SystemDir%\cpan.dll"? Where would this be at?

Bazooka isn't too hard to work if you follow the directions it gives you...but it's almost always giving me the wrong directions unless it's something that can be removed via the "add/remove programs" function in the control panel (everything that requires the registry editor to delete is wrong). It's decent...but not great.
the registry editor shit worked for me....it's the other thing I can't figure out.......
