I was talking to a guy at work the other day who doesn't know what hes talking about, but i didn't have the heart to tell him hes an idiot.

Like i need cermaic headers for nitrous. And he has a friend that is running a 150 shot on a stock civic, and hes taken 3 mustangs right off the line spraying.....

I was like alright...

Isn't there that fake shit on can put on that will make that sound. Not the whisle on the exhaust tip, but somehwere inside the engine bay also?

As for the stupidest thing I've ever heard...that's a long list...I used to watch High Rev Tuners. Once out at some street races years ago some kid came up and asked me if I wanted to race...race his Civic EX. I popped my hood and told him there's no way he was gonna win. His response was "I'll wax ya man...my engine's blown too". So we lined up and I left him like he was in reverse. I turned around and asked him what went wrong since I hadn't been "waxed" yet. Apparently he thought one of those little Tornado intake inserts qualified him for "blown" status.

this is actually interesting. Is a reed valve standard equipment? I read the description, but I want to know more. What is the advantage to something like this? Is pressure escaping out the front end a real problem in car engines?

Reed valves are pretty old hat...they're often used in place of a small displacement 2 or 4 stroke engine. You want something REALLY interesting? Check out a Coates Spherical Valve engine. Wicked cool shit.
