I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the US civic ex engine is diferent from the Canadian one and if it is do any of you know the modle and specs? Thanks guys!

canadian ex = us lx....and the lx has like 115 hp
us si = canadian sir?

canadian sir = us si (160hp) ('99-'00)

look on the motor it is usually on the block under the valve cover on the left side i think i don't remember but i know the engine code is on the block

All you gotta do is pop the hood and look at the stamp thats on the left of the engine block. It should say D16_#
Or...you could give us the first few digits of the vin and we could tell that way.
For example, mine is 1hgej8###...
Granted, yours will be slightly different because its canadian, but those are all the digits we would need to figure the engine (actually, just the ej# part is what we would need).

If the car is a four door it's the SOHC non-vtec. D16Y7 108 HP.

Not in canada, the only four door with a Y8 was in the Acura 1.6EL
