And let's not forget a little too much speed, cold summer tires, cold night.

So it's listed as me at-fault, which is fair enough because had I been going the speed limit I most likely would have been fine. Supposed to find out Wednesday whether the car is declared total loss or repairable. The further they get into things the higher the estimate goes. First estimate was at aroung $5500, not sure what the latest is but it has gone up. The tree is ok.

What a crappy way to end a weekend and start a week.

I've got full coverage.

Yeah the frame is bent, but they haven't put it up on the frame machine yet to determine whether they can bend the frame back or not. The guy is pretty confident it's fixable from eyeballing it, but since the numbers have only risen the adjustor is coming in today to determine if they want to risk possible other problems that they find when they get further into it, or just declare it a total loss.

The ironic thing is that I now believe in karma. I was really ribbin a buddy of mine who wrecked his Passat a few weeks back and ended up buying an A4.....and then this happens to me. :nono:

I used to think I am a good driver......

But I think I finally figured out what happened. I compensated too much, too quickly in one direction with only a mild loss of traction, got the ass to swing the other way and when that happened the rear hit the wet grass....all over from there.....then the FL went through a huge puddle about 8" deep.....from there it was just sliding on the grass until the kind tree brought me to a halt.

But yeah I'm ok, I guess that's good.

damn everyone is wrecking their cars.... mine is going to be sitting in a garage for about another 7 months i am not to worried about it...... i almost wrecked my friends mustang, i was going through some of these curvy roads and i was drifting through most of them and then i stoped at a stop sign and waited for my friend who was in the car behind me and then i gased it and the back end was swinging out and almost hit a mail box.... kinda scared me....

So the shop says it's a total loss. Waiting to hear from the insurance company Monday or Tuesday to find out the settlement.

Poor baby. ;(

Now I need to figure out what I'm going to get as a replacement....

So it turns out the car wasn't declared total loss and I should get her back May 4th. Estimate is at about $8100.
