I have a D16Y8 in my civic and I know there's a lot of debate on this, but I would like some your feed back on eather tuning this one up or swaping. what have you guys had best results with. Taking into acount drivability in winter time and afordability. basicly if I were to swap, what engine would give me the most hpw. yet still be a somewhat simple swap. Or If I was to tune this one up where should I start? Thanks every one you all have great info.

No such thing. Even motors that are supposed to just bolt in are a total headache. You need to decide for yourself what your long term power goals are for your car. In My Opinion, if you want to spend the time/money/energy swapping a honda motor, you will spend the same effort doing a Nissan SR20DET motor into a 240sx. . . . . . same headaches, same cost, just way more power and an overall better platform to work with (i wish i had).
