well today started off good. woke up early made it to school on time for a change. classes were great. then i went home to eat lunch. thats when i was told my exhuast hasnt come yet. from my mother who is very sick. i went back to school kind of bumed. i went to soccer practice and things were back to normal. but sense i was lazy as hell i got yelled at which may or may not hurt my chances at making varsity. so i was kinda pist off at myself. i get home and looked at the frig. i noticed a note from my dad. it goes at follows. Took Mom To Hospital. Call Me ASAP. Dad. i was like WTF. i called and my mom is going to be in the hopsital for 4 days to 2 Weeks. if she recovers from the arthritist she has. which is the worse type you can get. the one that cripples you and cuts 5-10 yrs off your life. i then told my dad i wanted to get tested to see if i have inherited this type of arthritist. i go in tommorow at 11:45AM to get tested. my exhuast didnt come today either. makes me mad. i know not your fualt stephan. not blamming you. why am i sharing this. i dont know. possible becuase i have had 3 shots of jack and a beer.
i was also told talking about things makes you feel better. i dont believe that. i dont feel better.

thats some bad news man... Once when I was little my mom had to go in and stay at the hospital for awhile because of her heart...it really scared me.
Well, there is a either a 50% or a 0% chance of you having the trait. Based off 2 scenarios of allele traits.
More than likely youre just a carrier of it though, because its unlikely your father is heterozygous an even more unlikey that he is homozygous dominant (like your mother...)
Im sure you know how punnet squares work though...we've heard of gregor mendel

Well I hate to say it, but you already know youre at least a carrier of the trait.
We can only theorize if its dominant or recessive in you or not.
You can be AA and have the trait if your father was homozygous dominant (unlikely)
You can be AA and have the trait if your father was heterozygous (50%)
You can be Aa and be a carrier if your father was heterozygous (50%)
You can be Aa and be a carrier if your father was homozygous recessive (100%)
I hate to say it, but if you do decide to have children when you get married your wife should be checked as well to see if she is a carrier of it. At that point, depending on your outcome tomorrow, you will have to make the decision to have children or not...or adopt.
