i love snowboarding... but living in florida makes it hard to go more than once a year( 10-12 hours is the closest mountain)

I've been snowboarding once and I had a blast! I fell down a lot, had every muscle in my body (ones I didn't even know I had) sore afterwards and had umpteen million bruises but I loved it! I would definitely go again.

Man, I went snowboarding about two years ago...lemme tell you...it was a beat-down by nature...the snow kicked my @ss for real...I twisted my knee...snow burns on my back...I even broke down and cried because I felt defeated....but it was very fun...I'd do it again...

damn...sounds pretty harsh. I went to vail, colorado, for 5 days...
I had a 3 day lesson thingy...and whoever said you can't carve or go fast...you're very wrong. Although it's not too easy for a beginner. it was my first time and i'm so ready to go again.
also...for you boarders...do you own a board or just rent everytime you go up?

i ment carve in powder with that big baord you cant swing it like you can with skis but if you on a grromed montain snowbards can carve easy and are more fun to ride i will give ya that but on mogels the skis are the best. And for a half pipe(which im not into) again snow bord ruels over skis. snow baords can go fast but nothing comapted to a pair of down hill skis get like a pair of 215's and just tuck all the way donw now that is speed ;)

and the my fianl piont while you are hopping around with one foot in one fopot out i just glide by

how was that colorado snow im kinda jealous all we have out here is cascade concrete which just turns into a field of frozen death cookies

I own a board, it's tricky so very flexible I like it alot. I only live an hour from mt. hood big ski resorts, i guess i just dont know alot of people that want to go this year:o
