Ok...so what do you ladies think the perfect guy would be for you? I know one time I was sitting in the lobby at the gym and I had looked to my left and out of the basketball gym comes this guy....dude was 6'3...about 200lbs...dark grayish green eyes...big beautiful smile...Im sayin this dude was mouth watering...I had to get to know him. SO we did hang out for a while but he turned out to be a sort of a jerk and we don't hang out anymore...

Well, I will defign a perfect guy. . .
I am the perfect guy.
Im 5ft 7in, blonde hair, blue eyes, 140 lbs - i might be a lil short for your likes, but i take Thia Style Kickboxing and have been doing that for 4 years, 3 nights a week (hitting pads), and one night of sparring (fighting) each week. My instructor has been trying to get me to take a fight, but i dont want to - only because it would require 3 months HARD training, and i have school and work which are more important . .. . . . . in essence, i can knock people out quite easily (not to brag - but just cause im short doesnt mean im a wimp).
I have a 3.22 GPA in college, and plan on getting my CPA when i graduate . . . so, ill have money ;).
Im funney, sarcastic, love to go out to eat, buy cloths, see movies, and do fun stuff like hang out on the waterfront in Boston.

Perfect guy for me.....hmmmmm
physical traits....tall (I'm talking like 5' 11" or taller), nice eyes (doesn't matter what color as long as I love to look into them), short hair, and a guy that takes care of himself....I don't need a lot of muscles, I just want to know that he cares about his apperance...this includes clothing.
other personality type traits....respectful, honest, caring, sentimental...but not more than I am!, similar interests and willing to teach me about his interests that I know nothing about, intelligent (I have to have intelligent convos occassionally), good sense of humor, independent, trusting, has goals and will actually work towards achieving them.......
Oh and intelligent doesn't necessarily mean that he has to have a degree in something....I've met plenty of intelligent guys that haven't gone to college...

Tall (6' and up), dark haired (thick, preferabley black but not opposed to brown), dark eyed (preferabley blue but not opposed to black/brown), caramel complexion (yummy), most likely a latin flavor (what can I say...?), well built (obviously), well hung (absofuckinlutley) and verrrrry sexy (I'll never leave his bed). Mental attributes would be intelligent, good sense of humor, caring, compassionate, strong, etc....
I can't go on anymore 'cause I'm gonna start crying..................;( .......where are you?!...... ;)

When I saw that guy I thought was perfect, I didn't get to see if he was well hung because I didn't want to rush things but I think he could have done some serious work to me if I had let him...
What was so perfect about this guy, other than his looks, was that I could NOT stop lookin at him...I would have been one of those people who would have gotten into a car accident just lookin at him...just his smile, his eyes, and height...and the fact that he plays basketball as I do made it ALL perfect...man!!!!!

I'd say i'm the perfect man but it'd be a lie. I am a really good one though. My only problem with myself is my physical shape. I just lost 26 lbs and start hitting the gym next week. Give me a couple months and then I'll be the perfect man.
You ladies don't want the perfect man anyways. When's the last time a nice guy finished first??

well i'll go ahead and be sappy here...
my boyfriend is my perfect guy.
taller than me (i'm 5'9" and hate feeling freakishly tall like i did when i dated a shorter guy), doesn't have brown eyes (cuz i do and i'm sick of looking at them), doesn't have long or brown hair (i got that too), and isn't real stressed out or bitchy (cuz i can be).
he knows how to dress and cook well without my help. he knows which shoes to wear with which pants.
he doesn't forget important dates. he does the laundry, dishes, and cleans just as much as i do. he folds his towel and hangs it up nicely when he's done with it.
he's not scared of my nephews, they love him to death. he's not scared of my lizard, my dogs, my horses, my cats, my birds, or my fish. basically, he puts up with my freaky animal obsession.
he makes good money at a decent job (right out of college), is really fun, plays video games and board games with me like a little kid, plays guitar and loves cars. spends a lot of time helping me fix mine, and even my mom's.. he puts up with my bullshit, my grumpy moods, takes me out to dinner and buys me flowers.

I have a thing about hands...so he would have to have masculine hands...has to weigh at least over 160lbs...being blonde or brunette don't matter...I don't care too much for long hair though...me being in the military and all...is that good enough?

Im studying philosophy right now and I was reading a chapter on how people perceive things...especially beauty...
What is beautiful to you guys?
spoogenet
03-31-2004, 01:04 AM
Damn.....beauty, it's soooo complicated. There's facial beauty, beauty of the bodice, beauty of the personality, and beauty of the person (the interaction of all things combined). It's simply unexplainable, it's just a feeling I have, a feeling that is unique to me and differs case-by-case with guy-friends I have.
The simplest definition would be that beauty is the embodiment of the traits I desire in a thing. The traits I desire are a matter of opinion, personal preference, fantasy, fetish, etc.
It's too subjective for definition. For instance, I have a buddy where we frequently differ in opinion on girls. If he finds her attractive, I almost always find her nasty and vice versa. There are some girls we both agree on for looking bad, and some we agree on for looking good, though.

didnt he cover that? "beauty is the embodiment of the traits I desire in a thing" since everyone is different everyone is attracted to different things so what is beautiful to one person may just be 'ok' to someone else.
Even if you dont find beauty one way in someone there is always something beautiful about that person we are all beautiful:)

That depends on a face-by-face basis. I really don't know that there's a good answer to the question. For example, I've known girls who I wasn't really attracted to, or unattracted to, in the face, who after I knew them for a while became very attracted to them. Little facial expressions, coupled with personality (they are tied/related to one another), made the difference over time. A girl whose picture I'd see and say "nah, not that hot" I may know personally and say "yeah, she's totally hot"......because it's not so simple.
And photo beauty versus real beauty varies too....for example a photo can capture a single moment, one expression, on a girl's face that can just be super sexy.....but she may not actually be, generally, that sexy in the face. Know what I mean, Vern?
The only way I could describe what I think is beauty in the face is through example, and the only way to truly illustrate through example is for you to just hang out with me constantly. But I will try to provde some examples.
Pamela Anderson = not hot, at all
Cyndia Crawford = not really hot at all
Halle Berry = totally hot, haven't seen her where she wasn't
Cameron Diaz = hot at times in Charlie's Angels and SA Mary
Lucy Liu = hot at times in C's As, A McBeal, and Payback....
Beyonce Knowles in Goldmember = totally hot.
Natalie Portman = totally hot
Mena Suvari = not really
Tara Reid = totally hot
Julia Robets = hot at times
Jennifer Anniston and Courtney Cox = usually hot, but not always
Ok that's just some that I can think of from my most visible movie collection and from memory of some girls other guys I know think are hot (such as P Anderson). But as mentioned before, it's just not that simple.
I really wonder what makes a girl's face pretty. I see girls sometimes and think they're really pretty, and right next to them is a girl I don't think is so pretty, but with a close look there really isn't that much of a difference from one to the other......it's just one of those things that there is no recipe for, if you add up the nicest feature of a few different pretty girls and put them together, there's no guarantee you'll end up with a pretty girl. And add to that personality and expressions, and it's even more complicated.
But if ya wanna know if you've got a beautiful face, just send a pic and I'll let ya know. haha. ;)

as for beauty. i could give you a huge ass thing to read but i wont. i dont want to type it all out. as for me i look at the face first. most guys really dig the body before the face. but i dont really dont care how hot a chick is or can be. its her attitude that wins me over. i cant stand chicks my age acting like there 12 or chicks that are stuck on themselves.

Just like many of us like women instead of girls. A man and a woman is a great combination, boys and girls should save themselves for each other, hehe.
But let me put in a plug for the young men of the world, age doesn't by any means dictate maturity. I was more mature at 18 than my brother is today at 28. It just varies by person.....but I agree. I see a general trend in the women I know, they're all over 30. I'm 25, and all the women I've known are 30+.

Yeah I just dunno about that. Maybe my background has just been a completely unrepresentative sample of people, but my general experience is that guys mature way before girls. I've known more mature 17-year-old guys than 25-year-old girls.....
I guess it all just depends on the definition of maturity. But I've always had more problems with dealing with girls and their lack of maturity level than guys......

I've been told I'm as mature as most 30 year olds... it kinda sucks, to be honest. Being mature, I miss out on lots of fun because I realize, through my maturity, certain things. Example; my friends are at a party tonight, I have a paper due tomorrow... so I am mature and writing my paper (off/on HST). So... being immature has its advantages...

All guys I've ever hung out with are very good at moderating/controlling their maturity. But I have known lots of guys who are just piss poor at it, or at least totally lack discretion of when to be mature.
My problem with the girls is that, while some of them are perhaps mature 99% of the time, they choose to show their immaturity at the worst point possible. Such as when trying to have a serious conversation and them just bursting out laughing thinking something you said is just the funniest thing they've ever heard, and you're wide open and vulnerable at that point. Way to be mature there.....
And then others are just, well, childish little girls too often for me to call them mature.
Maturity is a weird thing anyways.....just what is it? It's more of a social rule of how you expect someone to act in a given situation regardless of whether most people of that age would actually act that way.....strange.

I think that (perhaps) what Rob means is that women like to drone on and on about how there aren't any perfect guys out there when they themselves are flawed.Besides...your "perfect" person is so subjective. Everyone's got a different idea of what it is. It can't really be summed up in one diatribe.
biker's back
04-13-2004, 09:00 PM
When you honestly ask a woman what makes a great guy for her the answers are so vague and general that its a joke. Most of them come down to... tall, nice eyes, respectful, caring, easy to talk to and funny. But see there is a ton more that plays into this then people let on. someone who fits this mold still might not be someone you're attracted to.
Now what I wonder is why someone even cares about what a bunch of women think are the 'perfect guys.' Just as much as ones mans rice is anothers fav car, perception of what makes a perfect man will vary from woman to woman. Just as much as the perfect guy, however i think guys see it alot simply then women (lets not get into that).
None the less, I think its so tipical that a bunch of women talk about 'their perfect' guy. The women talking, bitch and feeling sorry about life and how they cant seem to find the right ones are the ones not in decent relationships, but dont bother to do anything about it.
You rarely hear a happy woman talking about what her perfect man is like, because she's either found it or thinks shes found it. Either way shes happy for the moment. But just as you can watch a woman be hot one moment and then cold the next and nothings changed about your eviorment the samething goes for relationships. This is because women are more emotional creatures then males and this complicates things.
Take one of your gfs thats never really held down a steady relationship. She'll blame it on never finding the right guy. But hey news flash people, it doesnt take as much for a guy to want to stay with a girl as it does for a girl to want to stay with a guy. Girls need more, nothing wrong with that but the girls complaining about not finding a nice guy should look inwards before they point the fingure at others. More often then not its themselves that are the problem. Bad past, emotional issues, working too much, scared.. you name it. This all leads to a relationship ending badly or hell not even starting.
Dont get me wrong by all this, in no way am I putting women down. I love the woman I'm with and God willing if things keep going this way I see no reason to change things between us. So I dont say this is anything but 'this is what i've seen' type thing. Women talk more about this stuff but do less, guys (i've seen) talk less and do more.
Does that explain it?

Ok...you should write a book or something...naming what we think would be a perfect guy was just a simple question. You were woman bashing...and that wasn't right. If it bothers you that much then develop your own post asking what a perfect woman would be. Of course nobody will ever find a perfect mate...it was just "girl talk"... this was not to be taken seriously buddy...

It might have only been talk but have you ever wondered why say guys want hotter and hotter girls. Or girls want guys that are fitter? People seem to be working towards this image that they will never be able to reach. Girls starve themselves to be skinny because they hear some guy likes girls who dont have alot of meat on them. Guys hit the gym at younger and younger ages to have muscles that they hear women want in their perfect man.
There is no harm in 'just talk' but sadly enough its never just talk and some impressionable mind is listening/reading this crap. It all plays up to society's image of the 'perfect' mate. When in reality what does it all matter knowing what someone else likes?
I wont bother asking what people think about their 'perfect mate' because its really irelevent (SP?) to living. As for the woman bashing, no I was only displaying one side of the coin, heres the other. (note not alot of guys sit around talking about the perfect girl, anywho)
Guys talk and play up how important looks on in women. Will pick up a girl because she looks good and then lead her on a relationship adventure as he plays games so that he might get in her pants. Alot of guys are less then truthful in their true feelings towards the girl they are with and often throw the love word around just in order to get some more a$$.
All this talk or compairing someones gf to a girl you're thinking of dating always leaves a perfecting good datable girl looking lacking. Compair her to the latest model/porn star you've grown up jacking off to and she'll never match up. All this talk about boobs and ass does little in finding the woman who is everything you actually need in a solid relationship, but clouds mens minds with the simple persuit of sex.
If you take a look at some of your guy friends who have always been single alot of them compair and find girls they have never talked to gone out with lacking on the simple messure she isnt fit enough to be seen with them. All this talk and media hype starts alot of men down the path of physical relationships and causal sex. it does little for the good women who are very attractive and supper nice. However it does serve good measure to confuse both parties.
when a guy says he cant find any decent girls and has never really dated anyone for any length of time it is probably more to do with him then he's willing to let on. Maybe its a bad relationship with his mother, the wrong desires to start a relationship, poor communication with women in the past bc his views of them have been altered by the porno stars that do all these dirty things without even say more then a few senstances.
I could go on. Neither sex is perfect and we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Theres nothing as touching as when i see a single mother get on the buss with her son or daughter after school between her two jobs shes working for him/her. Women have a lot of love to give and are truly amazing in that way. When I originally said what I said I was keeping on topic and if you think in some way I look down on women it wouldn't be further from the truth.

I think that's true as well...just as I said on one of the other forums...I was reading this article about teenage girls starving themselves and becoming anorexic because the media paints a picture of how women should look...then guys look at these women...then they put girls down because they don't look like the women on magazines and porn movies. Damn shame ain't it.

Exactly, and what i was trying to get at is. Though the media is takling about women doing things to meet media images and such, men also do the same but its to please what they think is what women want. But women dont really know what they want, they just know what they dont want so men cant go on that. THey just haev to be themselves which is whateverone should be in the first place!

Those are the immature women who don't know what they want. I know exactly what it is that I want and that's the reason why I'm still single. I know I don't want to commit to anyone right now and I'm honest and upfront about it. I know what it is I'm looking for in GENERAL but as far as the PERFECT guy, I know that there is none. It's what YOU think is. If I could take the better parts ;) of my ex and combine it with a few others from my other boyfriends then I'd be one HAPPY woman. Read I'd never leave the bed! But I know that's not possible but I also know not to look for "Mr Perfect" either. When you realize that the good out weighs the bad with the person you're with then you know you're on the right track. NO ONE is perfect by any means and to have the media idolize models as perfect is wrong. People who look like that are about 1% of the entire population and who's to say that their personalities match their looks? That's what the imagination is for people, to think of what you'd like that person to be but to realize you're not going to find him/her either. Keep the fantasies in your dreams and movies because that guy/girl you actually know may not look like him/her in the magazine but their personalities might be perfect for you. Beauty is only skin deep, look inside to find Mr/Ms Perfect.

The Hardware Bar/Vertigo Night Club. It's got a little something for everyone. One cover and you've got a bar, a dance club, a lounge and a game room. And for the guys, scantily clad cocktail waitresses that dance on the bar. Also they have an actual barber chair on the bar and for $10 you can sit up there while having one of the scantily clad waitresses hurdle you while she pours a shot of your choice liquor down your throat or if you're a female, one of the cute male bartenders.

Allow me to bottom line this entire thread for all of you. There is no such thing as "the perfect guy". No matter what we do and now matter how great we treat you, you ladies will always find something no matter how minute to bitch at us about. I say this not out of spite, but out of experience. I've always treated my girlfriends well and in the beginning I'm always "the perfect guy". But then somehow or another my gestures of kindness turn into matters of annoyance. So you change the way you show your affection but by then it's too late and anything nice you do pisses her off. So, in effect, the entire point of this thread is moot.

ya have an excellent point Steve....the wrong girl will think you're the "perfect" guy at first and then become annoyed with all that. But the right one will love you for all of that and not become annoyed with it. And even if we do find the perfect guy that we want to be with the rest of our lives, we will still find SOMETHING to bitch about. It's our nature....I don't know why it's our nature, i just know it is.
