Question about 99 civic cupholders

Bought this DX used, Should the cupholders have removeable inserts for smaller cups? Thanks!!

i dont ever use my cupholders, since i moved my CD player down to the slot there. stupid cupholder holder lid covers it... what a great idea Honda Engineers!!! also, they aren't very deep so sometimes when i get on it... I go forward, cup goes backward. not a good thing.
