Has anyone seen:
Seven Samurai
Boiling Point
Versus
Gonin
or
Rashomon

I need to watch one of these for my ISS class and not sure which one would be best.

I've watched Seven Samurai (later "americanized" in the western "The Magnificent Seven"). All of those Kirosawa (sp?) movies are kind of confusing, but it's not bad if you like old movies. Just a bunch of Samurais running around in fuedal Japan.

seen most of them actually. i hang with a lot of asian so i watch a lot of that stuff. i believe i would choose boiling point or rashomon. those are to 2 that if i remember right were easier to understand. i didnt watch the dub versions. so i had to make out the little laos and jap i knew.

i have never seen versus. that maybe a good one. in my 2cents rashomon or boiling point.

I think I've seen Boiling Point if that's the one with Wesley Snipes in it.

Seven Samurai owns...haha my dad has all the damn movies like "The Blind Swordsman" or something like that..
Then there is the movie "The Hidden Fortress" which is the basis on which Star Wars: A New Hope was written, it's interesting to watch that movie and look for similarities

Seven Samurai is WAY old...like the 30s or 40s. Still in B&W.

I saw versus. All I can say is I never laughed so hard. It's supposed to be a mix between Resident Evil (video game) and Mortal Kombat (movie). The story line is somewhat decent, but the way the guys pull guns out of their @$$ all the time is funny. See it for a good laugh.
