View Full Version : Guess what I woke up to today...

...a call from the University of Alabama Police. At first I was afraid they'd call to issue a warrant, but it got worse from there. They told me my car had been hit and an officer was waiting for me in the parking lot to file a report. At least the guy that hit me stayed and fessed up instead of running like the last prick that hit my car. My week just KEEPS getting better... somehow, amazingly, today started off even worse than yesterday ended... ;( ;( ;(

thats shitty man... i was hit by an old lady.. 100% her fault... 100% of the damage done to my car...$3500 repair bill. is insurance covering this for you at least?

I don't really know how I want to handle this. I REALLY don't want to deal with insurance, although since he fessed up and I have a police report, that would be easy. His insurance would pay for all of it, but I want to get a quote first and then see if he will just pay out of pocket for it (+ some extra)... that way maybe I can get my rear bumper repainted too ;).

Yeah, this needs to be fixed soon. I am going to a rather large Z meet/workday/cookout on the 13th. If my car isn't fixed for the meet and I have to drive 3 hours there and back and show my POS wrecked car I'm gonna be PISSED...

that certainly sucks. i'd take the insurance money and that's it. i dunno, but that bill can be rather large, i have a feeling they will replace the whole door skin instead of trying to fix it

That's one of the reasons I always hesitate to dump money into my car. I know its just an Accord, but people seem to jack anything these days. My dream is to own some nice cars when I get my career going, but I think I'd be scared to park them in a public parking lot
