Hey Guys,.

We have a 2001 Honda Civic.. and the battery died.. Left the stereo on all nite.. And when the batter died the Alarm started going off.. Tried everything.. C ould not get the car to start.. could not do anything..

I ended up cutting the grounding wire at the Alarm siren.. and now i cant get the dam thing to stop.. blinkers are allways going off saying the alarm is going off.. I have sense recharged the battery and been driving it .. but what can i do!! Is there away to reset the alarm?

Thanks Mike!

did you try just pulling the alarms fuse?

There is no Alarm Fuse,

but i did find the issue.. When i bough the car.. i bought it used.. and was told that it was the a factory alarm.. Well today i was poking around looking at the incar fuses.. and found that its a CRAPY TIRE "Canadian Tire" Alarm installed! .. Hooked up to the door locks.. i guess.. as i dont have keyless entry yet.. and when i use my Key to unlock the door it would disarm the alarm..

So i have yanked the Fuses out of that little unit.. and im looking now for a decent Alarm to install.. preferable somthing with a Pager unit on it..

I talked to my Honda dealer i bought the car and they where shocked.. and They told me that if i buy the alarm i want.. they will install it for free.

Well i picked up the car as a project car..

I have already picked up around 10 Grand in Electronics for it.. and i have a friend who works in Fiber glass working on fabricating me a new ground effects setup.. As well I'm in the works of trying to track down a Twin turbo for her....

So i really really need a very nice.. and very very reliable alarm system..

Also..

What do you all think of Shaved door handles. ??

why twin turbo? its pointless
2 is not better

I also think shaved handles are dumb...but I dont like body kits or massive stereo systems either

i didn't think that a civic engine had enough power to spin two turbos, i thought ya normally needed at least a 2.5 litre engine

well its not really a massive stereo..
..

Its a DVD system with a in dash Screen..with 2 screens for the head rest.. double 12 inch subs.. and replacements for all the factory speakers.. Not that i like my Music Loud.. I really like to Clean sounding.. As well theres a Navigation system going in as i do allot of driving...

I'm in Toronto.. And i do a lot of driving to PEI, NY, Florida..

As for the body kit.. I'm just looking to have a Clean finish to the car.. And something that is Uqunie .. The Shaved door handles i really don't like either But was asking what everyone Else thought about them..

and as for the Twin Turbo.. Never said they where better.. But I'm not doing the engine work and the shop that is said they have seen some nice ones installed.. and that They will help the engine run Cooler???? Is this true? And doing the driving on highways.. i really want to have the extra kick for high speed passing .. I find now.. that when I'm on the highway doing say 120KM and i want to pass someone there just is not enough kick to the car.

that is a huge stereo system...

any turbo will make the car run hotter...its forced air. your shop mechanics are idiots...thats basic physics and they should know it. A standard single turbo is all you need...and is all that would work even somewhat efficiently. Before you go running around slappin a turbo (...or 2) on a car you'll want...no need to read up on them, whats involved, how they work, etc. A turbo on a car that wasnt really designed to have one is a really large step...its not a bolt on procedure...its a lot of maintenance

Do whatever you want... If you like the accord get it
The newer civics (even the si if you ask me) are not performance oriented at all...theyre commuter cars and thats about it

if one turbo is good, and two is better, then three will be best.
