I turned Oprah on yesterday when i got home from work waiting for the news to come on....and she was having some "sex talk" show or something. Well she said that in a recent poll of women that 70% of women admitted to faking their orgasms.



Do you guys think that this percentage is very accurate?

I wouldn't doubt that. Most women I've talked to admit to having done it at least once. Unless you're hyper-sensitive, it could take a while to get off...and by that time you could start getting sore. All depends on the girl. I trust that 70% is accurate, if not a little low.

I'd be pissed if a girl faked one with me. You'll never have a good sexual relationship with someone if you can't both be open and honest about everything. Sure it may be ok and "good", but with honesty and opennes it can be so much better. I'd rather her just tell me she's not in the mood than to fake it.

This is just a guess, because I do not know, but I would suspect that many girls would be more likely to fake one with a guy who they've already had a real one with. His confidence is up from knowing he can get her off, and if he doesn't perform she probably thinks it'll hurt his feelings......and of course the relationship isn't open enough for discussion of such a thing (as many aren't). It's a very complicated yet simple issue, really. There is no one recipe. My personal belief is that a lot of women aren't comfortable enough with the situation at the time, and that can't be underestimated. However to simply say it's the girl's fault, or the guy's fault, isn't fair. To say it's 50/50 isn't fair either. The situation is far more complex than a matter of applying blame.

First off, only something like 25% of women are supposed to be able to climax vaginally. The other 75% only tend to climax clitorally.....considering that most positions don't adequately stimulate the clitoris for that 75% of women, it's not that much of a surprise when women don't climax during intercourse. Of course the first method to truly understanding your own ability to climax is self-stimulation, experimentation with a partner can be a good educational tool.

Either way, you've gotta be comfortable in a situation. The willingness of both parties to really try is a good start, but it does require the comfort factor. I dunno, it all seems so simple sometimes but is so complex. As I mentioned in another thread, I've been the same guy all along but for 1 woman things have been very different than any of the others. The difference? Our feelings for one another.....it makes a world of difference. The more she's into me and what I'm doing, and the better she's feeling, the better I'm feeling and the more I'm into her......it's like our pleasure is complementary and just keeps building exponentially. Unfortunately, though, our pain suffers the same fate.....

I've had g/f's before that felt they couldn't stand naked in front of me. Personally, that bothered me. No matter what I tried to communicate to them, it just didn't help. Ok, chicks who are into guns kick ass. I also don't have a gun yet, but I'm thinking of changing that real soon. I like lots of kinds too. What I'm interested in currently is a Clock 17L (don't make them anymore) and an AR-15 (civilian version of M-16). But there's lots of stuff I like. My father has a really nice old 30-30 lever-action wild west style badass......and a sweet 357-magnum that's just badass too. :) I'd like them both, but unfortunately my brother does too....hmmmmm.

There is also such thing amongst women called anorgasmia. It's a physical condition that's much like impotence in men...the women simply can't have orgasms. So in short, very few women out there don't have orgasms due to "personal" problems. It's just not that simple.

Some of what you said may be true...I didn't bother to read the post in it's entirety since your last posts was so nonsensical. That being said you can't lump all of a woman's issues into "personal problems". There's a saying in the technology world called time and place utility...a product is only worth as much as where it is and when. As much I hate to draw a parellel between women and a product, the concept remains the same. Any given women can be comfortable with a given guy...but it has to be the right guy or else the action is useless. That doesn't mean she's the one with the problem. The fact that she's uncomfortable may rest entirely on the guy's shoulders. There's a certain duality here...a dichotomy if you will. If the girl is comfortable with YOU then great things can happen. If she's not comfortable with YOU then hilarity will surely ensue (well...at least for everyone else). As has been stated before in this thread, it's the responsibility of both parties to make sure they're comfortable enough with the situation before undertaking it or else the results will be shit. You can't blame it all on a girl's "personal problems"...that's just assinine. It takes two to tango, as it were.

Yeah, she and I have been officially broken up since like November. I found out she'd been cheating on me and lied about it, so yeah. We still visited each other and hooked up and were awesome friends, but it went downhill when she hooked up with ANOTHER guy. (when i say hooked up, I dont mean sex). I turned bitter/jealous/angry and basically became a bastard. That is the short version... It is a LONG story that I would rather not type out, maybe tomorrow if I am bored. But yeah, we haven't talked in nearly 3 weeks and I don't know if/when I'll see her again.
