Herpes commercials

Ok...these things have been getting on my nerves lately for a couple reasons. First of all, if you're dumb enough to have unprotected sex and contract herpes simplex B YOU DESERVE IT. That's the beauty of natural selection...the stupid usually die first (but herpes won't kill you). I don't care what anyone tells you...while condoms may have their faults, wearing one is a damn good protection against it. I don't care if you trust whoever you're with, it's a simple matter of common sense. You wear a condom and you're in pretty good shape as far as STDs and pregnancy goes. Secondly, if you are in the group dumb enough to be mentioned above then you have absolutely NO right to complain about whatever symptoms you're having or how long they last or how it detracts from your lifestyle of choice. You f@cked up, now it's time to pay the piper. Lastly...why do I get the feeling these commercials almost promote indiscretion between sexual partners? It's almost like "go ahead and do what you want...there's a pill for it". Damnit...when will people learn that there are concequences to their actions and there won't always be some magic pill to make it go away.

I totaly agree. It's ur choice to wear one and if u don't ur the one that pays for it. But who said that herpes kill you?

Hmmm...hadn't really considered that (or even knew it was possible). Then again I suppose it's like people born with AIDS...it's horrible you have to suffer for someone else's mistake, but the number of people born with it are far fewer than those who contract it. I think these commercials are aimed at folks who contracted it sexually (since it's specifically for genital herpes).

But aswell I agree with you GT, natural selection exists over every living thing on this planet. Most species only the strong or intelligent survive, in the same respect there are too many people who just shouldn't be because of their lack of intelligence. People who get these things (and aren't born with them) should just have to suffer expescially the ones who don't tell their partners (sure that happens alot), get sense or don't complain at all

i do agree with you all, i dont liek to see girls take the pill... to many hormones in it that can make you sterile(same with the shots)..... but the girls dont know that, and did you know the changed STD's to STI's sexually transmitted infections?

i didnt know they changed std's but i dont care because std's is easier to say. I hate herpes commericals! long freaking g ay things:mad:
