Well I FINALLY got to doing my timing belt tonight after MONTHS of freaking out worriing it would snap...

1. The belt was FINE... there was almost NO noticable wear on it.
2. F'ing Honda Dealer set the Cam gear advanced a tooth...

Car runs pretty sick now but I still have to bump up the timing to get it to full power... as I had retarded the CRAP out of it to get it to stop pinging sooo bad.

Replaced just about everything... water pump, tensioner/spring, VC gasket/plugs. Upper and lower radiator hoses...

the other day I had to do tie rods too... just got it aligned today too...

I'm ALMOST getting ahead of maintanance...

Still have to do some left over bushings from the master kit and fix my stereo...

Oh and I also fixed up A LOT of the problems with the 944 console... It's pretty sweet now... got the radio and a deeper stock porsche pocket down there. AND put spacers under the ebrake assembly so it doesn't leave the light on all the time.

Still got some odds and ends to tie up with that too though.

isnt maintanance fun?

Im doing tie-rod ends today, too! Yippie...its 20*
Im hoping that I can get away w/o an alignment until the end of next month at the earliest (when I do the rear disc swap) so I can just get both done @ the same time (save time, hassle, and still have 1 alignment for free for later)

sounds good. i still have to do my rear disk conversion and get the rear cross beam swapeed out, then the front one is gonna get modified to allow up to 8 degrees of caster:yes: then moving on to rebuilding the engine for 20+ psi, but i will be staying with 12 for a few months

sure they can...they need to be replaced anyway
they'll still be on when i do the rear disc (thats when I'll get the alignment)
after that I get tires for the c8's, put them on and replace the crappy wheel's tires w/ pos generals for next winter

see? its all planned out ;)

speaking of motors.... there's an H22 with a manual trans at my work... I've actually been selling a LOT of stuff lately so the boss has got a money boner... he I'm gunna give it another week or two and ask him for it...

I still won't be able to afford the mounts and axels etc. I'll need to do the install... but I'm pretty sure there's a computer there too....

SO I might very well just nose to the grindstone for a couple of weeks and try to get up some cash to just through that biotch in...

We'll see. It's kinda a pipe dream but for once it's an attainable one. If I work for it I can make it happen.

but now that my D is running sooo good I almost don't want to pull it out. I may buy a cheap hatch and throw it in there.... hmm.... this is getting tempting.

I bumped the timing back to a more normal position last night... still have to hit it with a gun but...

IT DRIVES SICK.... My car has NEVER felt even remotely this good...

Every change of gears used to leave the car with NO power... now it pulls through them SWEET...

I'm Jazzed.
