vette z06

about a week ago i ran into a z06 vette on the highway, i've seen a few of these around town but haven't had the chance to test them out. he was driving pretty fast so i decided to follow, i followed him onto an exit and we ended up at a four-way 3 lane road. i look over at the driver (mid 40's) and nodded. after nodding back to me, i raised the boost to 15lbs and focused on the light. *green* we both take off and he instantly has 1 carlength on me, by the end of 1st gear my front bumper was at his door, shifting into sec. he's back to one car ahead of me. we stayed like this until midway through 4th, and by now, im back up to his door.....he stops first then i responded realizing any faster would be hectic. it wasn't one of my best days, but needless to say, i was very impressed with his car and he felt the same about mine. this thing is a beast allmotor, i can't even imagine it's capabilities with forced induction. but what surprised me was how his car pulled harder at mid-high rpm........very impressive.....

Why did you turn the boost up to only 15psi? The car can put down more than 22psi stock... :confused:

although that's the claim, i've cracked one of the turbos boosting 18lbs, now i stay clear of anything above unless im at the track.....

Although everyone already knows this just in case for anyone who doesn't .. Z06 has that lighter more more powerful alum V-8 ... the LS series.. on the mid to top range they spank the old sko0l lt1 camaro/corvette.. But hey good luck with your supra they are tie a$$ rides.. by the this is my 2nd post ahahah i feel special..

Sounds like a really good fight. Although the Vette is a classic American icon of western automotive history, the Z06 is the first PRODUCTION corvette to truly impress me. Good Job Chevy
