my friend was talking about getting those under $100 coilovers that they have all the time on Ebay for the time being because his system he is putting in will currently drop his car to the pavement and I was wondering if there is any reasons I should talk him out of it

Well personally I would say go ahead and do it...I mean I got a set for a minimal price 4 yrs ago for my ride off ebay and I still have them on my car w/ my stock shocks/struts... so I mean you can take my $.02 w/ a grain of salt or whatever..
If he is just going to get them to be as a helper to also raise his car up. Granted he isn't just slamming it all the way to the ground and riding in the weeds...hope this may help...
