true.
you should try to find a site that sell everything as one package.
I.E. ecu, mount, tranny mounts engine ect ect. that may puch almost 1600 w/o shipping.

I dont mean to sound like a hater, but there is no B16A1
There is a First Gen B16A (i believe it has white plugs . . .) with the engine code of "B16A"
Then there is the Second Gen B16A which is what me and shave have.
All of the above are JDM motors
The only usdm B16's are the B16A2 (which is OBDII) and the B16A3 (OBDI)

I have said it before, and i shall say it again.
There is no point in ordering a motor online.
I did that, and i went to the street races in my area and all the Puerto ricans poped their hoods and i saw a wealth of B18B's and B18C's - look here before ordering.
BTW, if you are desprate to have VTEC, just get a B18B and put a B18C head on it.

I would get a b18c1 instead of the b16a.

www.ardperformance.com sells motors/complete swap. I agree, try finding it locally. I say B18A/B and turbo..... and yes... you will still need mounts even if you get the B16A JDM to drop into your crix. The wiring will be a nightmare. Goodluck tho. Keep us posted.

wirirng is EASY. Just take the D harness off. it fits funny, but...fit is the key word.
Cashizslick just got unlucky at first, but i got unlucky later (threw a rod...and still came out cheaper than him :D)

so what would be the best swap, a b18b block with b18c head, which would be vtech. If i do that what axles, wiring harness, shift linkage, all that good stuff, what would i need?

I think everything would fit if ur engine in the CRX right now is a b series but otherwise u would need to change most of that stuff. but correct me if im wrong.

I wouldn't bother with doing a ls/vtec... just keep it with the stock head and turbo it... it will be MUCH faster.
VTEC isn't all it's cracked up to be. Boost will spank the crap out of SLIGHTLY higher cam lift at higher rpm.

Going from OBD0 to OBD1 or OBD2 will require some major wiring. Unless you take it to a pro and rig that shit....trust me on this.

At least my car runs . . . . . .and isnt orange!
BTW, the only reason i can think of to why my stock harness didnt fit is that there must have been some defect from the factory with my car that was repaired in a different way than it shoulda been.
I also looked at my friends 92 hatch with B16A SiRII. It plugged in completely different than my motor did.
