Do not mix....
Just a warning for anyone who finds themselves around a cadaver...dont go out and get a tuna fish sandwich right after you spend several hours around a preserved body...you end up imagining that the tuna is cadaver meat...they even start to smell the same....almost identical.
The texture of the sandwich is how the cadaver looks...so dont get me started on that...
I found out first hand....:zombie:
Needless to say, my sandwich quickly found its way into the trash and I went hungry until 10, when I got home from classes.
So remember:
Cadaver+Tuna sandwich= BAD:pukey

man you guys are missin out
this is by far the most interesting, most informative course Ive ever taken.
I mean, you can only learn so much about the body from books...until you 'slit one open and grab onto those parts'...you have no idea. Like, I never understood what clogged arteries were like until I pinched one and it went "CRRRUNCH" ;)
pretty cool

:pukey :pukey :pukey more power to ya Pat....It was hard enough gettin through high school biology when we had to disect fetal pigs, sharks, and sh!t like that. It's not so much once they're cut open that sickens me....it's when you have to break the sternum (?) and other random bones to really get in there. That's what creeps me out.:o

If a cadaver smells anything like the cats they dissected in Anatomy class in my high school, then no thank you. When you walked by the room you could always catch a glimpse of the stiff cats all sprawled out on their backs and all cut open. :pukey And the hallways nearby would fill up with that foul smell and it would always make me gag. :yuck:

yeah the whole place has that ultra pinesol kind of smell to it...the name of the chemical escapes me now (not formaldehyde) :dunce:
Its not so bad when the bodies are in the "tomb" room...but when theyre brought out on the carts the whole place starts to stink up. We lost like 15people after the 1st day :)
