yeh so i gotta get a drug test for a job interview next week...i was wondering does alchol come up on these tests..and i havent smoked in a while so i should be ok...lemme kno thanx

It can show up. Basically to get it to show up you have to drink like a man insane the night before or do some drinking before you went into the test. Alcahol is more of a water based drug so you get it completely out of your system in about a day.

if you have smoked in the last month your in trouble, but you can always use the i eat poppyseed bagel excuse. But no drinking wont show up.

A. Most drug testing places don't even know that poppy seeds' DO false trigger.
B. Unless he was "smoking" herion... it won't be much of an excuse, as THC will show up seperatley from opiates.
C. Drinking WILL show up... my buddy got in all sorts of shit from his probation officer because he was under legal drinking age and it came up...

If this is your concern, tell them you swallow your scope in the morning when you brush your teeth.

Nonov's right. Poppyseeds WILL test you positive...but for opiates, THC is totally different. Alcohol will show up but all you've gotta do is lay off for the day and night before (like if your UA is on a Friday, drink Wednesday and lay off until your test. My roommate's on probation and does this all the time and has never come up dirty). But most companies don't care about alcohol since it's legal. You could fix the problem altogether by having some self respect and not doing drugs to begin with.

if your really conserned about being clean, drink lots of cranberry juice a day or 2 before... like a gallon, but alchohal only stays in your system for about 4-8 hours depending on how much you've been drinking.

if you smoked recently, there really isnt much you can do about it...it stays in the body for a long time and goes into the hair - which grows and will show up different levels of the hair like scars on a tree's bark...it just moves up

hair and blood tests are too expensive for normal companies to do to just to screen for employees, they will do a standard piss test which is very passable expecially if you've just been drinking lately. just stop drinking now until the test is over if your really conserned, but ive never herd of anyone failing a pisser for drinking.

oh and ive herd that IB prophen(sp?) can show up as THC or look like it from those test... but ive never herd seen any proof

yeh i was mainly concerend jus about the alcohol..but from what you guys are sayin i'll jus make sure i drink 2 or 3 days before the test if i even do drink...and i havent smoked in a few months...so i'll be good..thanx
