Well chalk up another blown engine from a turbo. An aquaintance of mine has an H22 in a 94 Civic DX hatch back with Revhard turbo kit running 7 pounds of boost. Yes u heard me right! The car was absolutely crazy. It never got ran on the track but I should think the car should have run 11's with the right tires and suspension. I guess now it runs 11 minutes (considering it takes him that long to push it across the finish line!). Apparantly he thinks he melted the pistons (atleast thats what he said), and blew the rings. His cylinder compression tests at: 31, 28, 95, 116. Sounds like another tunning issue. Sounds like to me it was running too lean. This is one of those sad sad stories of improperly tunning your car on boost, and how much of a big deal it can be. He only had the turbo on the engine for about 6 months b4 this happened. This is the 3rd person I know in the last 2 years who has run a turbo and something has happened like this. This just goes to show how easily this can happen!

i'm sure most of the turbo heads around here can't stress this enough: "tuning is the key"

That is why........ revhard actually uses vortech FMU.

An FMU is "band aid" way to manage fuel under boost. Tell your buddy to get a piggy back or stand alone. It's really worth it.
