"Combining fun to drive performance with enviromantal responsibility, the concept vehicle is powered by a high performance, high-torque all-alluminum VTEC V-6 engine coupled with an advanced electronically controlled four wheel drive system for outstanding all weather handling performance and medium duty towing and off-road capabilities, along with ultra low emissions...." i didn't wanna type everything off the press release now

I dunno, maybe I'm a little old school, but when I buy a truck, I want a large V8 (or diesel... talk about torque). I love playing in the woods/mud in my bro's 4x4 and this Honda just won't cut it. I'd just get a regular SUV before this thing.
Hopefully my next vehicle (I'll still have the Accord) will be a Jeep with a V8 swap.

I dont know....i like it but then you realize your looking at a truck from honda....just dont seem right. What is it gonna be? A 3 liter from the accord that revs to 8500? that would be cool yes but...a honda truck. Its just what they need though to keep competitive with everyone. I would take the new Nissan Titan over it though

if i ever go for a truck it would be one of the new dodge pickups....
but that THING in the pic is still in a VERY concept form.. there will be alot of changes before it hits the road... but idk.. i thought that when i first saw the concept pics for the avalanche.....

I kinda agree just hoping they will put a bigger engine than a 2.2 in it.

Hate to re-hash an old thread, but that is the weakest looking truck I think I've ever seen. Kind of looks like a cross between the Nissan and a compact. And a VTEC V6? In a truck? I thought VTEC was all high rpm power. Unless they're planning on having the VTEC engage at 2000rpm you're looking at one pathetic truck line. Now if Honda made a V8 or a 6 cyl. turbo diesel we'd be in business. They just won't be able to compete with other manufacturers offering REAL trucks with REAL motors.

it is based on the mdx platfor that has a 3.5l engine vtec, and from how many mdx's i drove i can say thay have a bit of torque compared to the other honda engines. anyway i think it is supposed to be in the same class with the s10/slownoma and ranger, so the expectations there shouldn;t be too high

I can vouch for that.
