yeh so my brother is lookin for a car...hes lookin into a civic def. a 5spd...not makin the same mistake as me gettin auto...but the thign is hes finding good deals on alotta of lx's and hatches...i dont think hes gonna be doin ne power upgrades...so i thought it would be better if he got an EX model with v-tec..what do u guys think does v-tec actually help alot..he wasnt finding good deals on ex's...and also for a hatch he's gonna need to put a tach..he doestn want a big one...can u get small ones...and are they hard to install...thanx guys

vtec is so overrated on singlecams...especially stock
but if he can find a decent one for a good price go for it
if he gets a hatch and wants a tach just swap out the cluster for one from an ex/si...its plug and play
i know the d15b/16y7 auto's are ultra-super-duper-omega slow

alright that is a very true statement, if I were him I would go on ebay, cant down ebay man, i bought my car with 73gs on it and a new hood the rest stock for 3grand.
Right now there is a badass 2000 Civic DX Hatch with a full type-r conversion go check it out its badass.
