Wow. :err Ok, so I've known this girl online for about a year and we decide to meet up. Last weekend was canceled because she had bronchitis, so on a spur of the moment I drove 5 hours to stay the weekend with her after work today. :tu right? NO. I get there at about 10pm and she meets me in her parking lot apartment complex... I see her and her shadow looks, well, BIG. So I get in the car and NOOOO, she's HUGE. :um Her breasts were like, popping out of her top because of the weight she gained and it made me want to vomit. Plus, it appeared she had three pillows now for a stomach, grr. Right then I was already like f*ck, what am I going to do... I told her I'd stay until Sunday and it's only Friday night. :eek We end up going bowling and I'm playing it off and being nice, being talkative and such. But, each time I threw the bowling ball at the pins, inside my mind I was thinking of an escape plan. So we go to walmart ( What the f*ck? ) to get some color for her hair, because she ****ed it up earlier and it was too blonde, then we get back and I'm killing time trying to figure out what I'm going to do. So I'm standing around looking at pictures and the rest of the apartment, and then she's like well you can watch TV while I add the color to my hair and I was like, cool ( and here is where my opportunity came to play ). So I'm like, "Hey, I'm going to go grab my cell phone charger and a pair of sweats from my car, cool?" So I grab my bag and bounce the f*ck out. :um So basically, I drove 5 hours there, hung out for 2 some hours, bounced and drove 5 hours back. RIDICULOUS. Not to mention I drove through some crazy ass snowstorm, which was worse on the way back. I feel terrible... but I couldn't stay. I'll probably go to hell now. :td I'm thinking about calling her or emailing her and telling her I sh*t myself and was too embarrassed to come back to her place... because she probably thinks some crackhead stabbed me and stole my car. Damn me. :idiots

And she called and left him messages.

I can't hear what the messages say because I don't have sound on my computer here at work, so I'm sure I'm missing the good part of this thread. Just reading the guys story though, I'm sure this happens a lot. How many of you guys would have done the same thing? I'm sure there are a few of you on here!

YOur missing the best part. In the messages she whines about how he made her spend all her money at bowling and now shes broke all week.

I have never ever spent more than $15 at a bowling alley and i was there for like 4 hours.

And she keeps saying call me, and OK.

damn...she left 3 messages!

I dont know...kinda dumb but...what do i know

I tried the dating on the internet thing once...got to know a girl who at first was good looking. We were gonna meet up one week and it just fell through. She sent me a pic of her (more recent) and it was a totally different girl...unless she gained like 100lbs... I told her that I didnt think it would work out

Basically....internet dating is dumb. You cant trust what people say they are. I guess that goes for all of the internet though...

...This has inspired me to come clean...I am not who you think I am. Instead of being a 20yr old male in michigan, who drives a civic, I am a 46yr old woman living in nevada. I drive a '82 Impala sedan with 4 different colored body panels. I have 3 kids...all of which were conceived with my cousin, Bobby, who is 22.

I agree, internet dating is kind of dumb, no offensive to those who participate. That's great if you find someone who you "click" with, but then you have these expectations and then later find out you were way off. I think the only good thing about internet dating is that you actually get to know a person for who they are (given they don't have online pics of course) rather then getting hooked up on their looks.

Yah I can't hear the msg either on my comp....and yes fat girls need love too. But if I were him I would have been really frustrating thinking that the girl looked and acted one way and when upon meeting her realizing that she was everything but what you thought. I wouldn't say that I do the internet dating thing, but I like talking to people on here and then potentially meeting them a while down the road. You never know when or where you'll find the right person. It works for some people.....

I know like 3 dudes who have been successful in just about every way possible dating on the internet...

NONE of them had met anyone anywhere but the internet...

One dated a girl for over a year... another hooked up with LOTS of hot chicks... I met a couple of them...

Another met a couple girls... nothing great but good looking normalish chicks (by normalish I mean all girls are nuts so you can't blame it on the internet).

I think it's the worst thing to meet a person from the internet like match.com or etc. Also, you can't see a picture of the person.

So, it's better to meet a person in real life.

i tried it out for a while and actually met this one girl who by her pics looked good and we clicked talking so we met up. find out she's really into asian guys(she's white) and especially hapas so i'm in there, but i didn't think she'd be obsessed. i played it cool cuz she was a former stripper too so just another trophy for me but then she started getting real weird, calling my cell at like 5am just to hear my voice(only been dating for 3weeks) not thinking i'd answer it. i mean it was all good that she was a crazy nympho, but i would have preferred just a nympho. anywayz i stopped talking to her and found out that a month later she had moved to new york and gotten engaged, crazy ho i guess.
(and yes that was a completely true story, i think there are pics of her in the pics forum on this board that i posted up)

but i've been a part of the horrors also, my boy and i went to meet this one girl that he was talking to, drove an hour down to the beach, met her and said hi for 5 minutes, drove back home. made fun of him all the way back. guess when she told him she wasn't into cars, she meant she couldn't get "into" a car.

Exactly the same thing here, and the funny thing is I haven't been successful at all yet. I guess it works for some and not for others.
