i've heard that the 2nd gen dsms manifolds will fit on the f22a1 engines, so i am a bit inclined to go that route rather than have a custom manifold donefor my car. what turbos fit it ? i kinda want power for the entire rpm band.
also for the dsm dudes what's the difference between the heads of the automatic and manual dsms. i got asked that question a lot in attempting to find a manifold.
Arnel: can you hook a brotha up ? i know you are good at finding turbos

why not just get a fmax manifold(or the whole kit)?

cause they don't make it for the 90-93 accords. the 94-97's have a different pattern

I will sure find out for you. I know a couple of DSM turbo freaks. I know for a fact that the manifold will flange to almost any TD-series turbo. Somthing like a TD06 will probably work for your application. However these turbos are hard to find. I think a T3T04e 57t .63 A/R will actually give your some amazing numbers. The only thing is, you will have to use a T3 flange adapter. Those are not that expensive. I know a couple of places on the web who can give you some really top of the line products.
As far as having power on all the power bands, some boost controllers like the GReddy profec-B has a "balance" knob, which can slow down or speed up the reaction of the wastegate. That is probably the easiest way to achieve power on all power curve.
Man, that is really too bad. I just gave away a turbo manifold from a 2g eclipse! I could've just had you pay for shipping since those were some heavy shit. Anyway, give me a couple of days to get my facts straight and I'll get back with you Stef......

actually, all dsm manifolds are the same. most 1g guys upgrade to the 2g manifold because it flows a little better, while some go balls out and get a tubular header. i have a stock 1g manifold that i could sell you if you're interested

look at dsm specific sites for bolt-on turbos.
check out some of the sites on this page

or look around on here for some good used stuff

generally, the 50trim is considered to be one of the best street turbos for a dsm; however, i don't know what you <2L displacement guys would consider streetable.
let me know what's up

well my engine is a 2.2l (2156cc). i dunno about turbos a lot and i am still learning, plus my tubo project still has about 2-3 months till it starts.

well now... 2.2 will spool a big turbo a bit faster than 2. with fwd, i think you'll be better off talking to prelude owners about what size turbo you're going to want. i've noticed that a lot of fwd guys like a super-huge turbo because the lag really helps with wheelspin in 1st, although it does make the car a little less fun to drive everyday. i suppose it all depends on your driving and preferences

well i am looking for something that will spool really quick like a 16g. i won't drag the car, it's more towards autocross and twisties fun

sounds like a good idea. see if you can find a fwd 2g dsm somewhere, and test it out. i'm pretty sure your 2.2L with a 16g will be fairly close to the 2L with a t25

ok, then what kind of turbos will fit the exhaust manifold ? something like th g series (15g 16g 18g) any others ?

i think anything made by forced performance or pte, and the "g" series all bolt up. a lot of the stuff that slowboy racing sells will bolt up just fine, there are really lots of options.
i think i might've been a bit misleading abou the 2g and your car; your car will pull a lot harder than the 2g, but the the turbo will spool about as quickly

just for my info: how much hp does the 2g dsm have ?
out there

according to the "official specs" they have 210, but with a few free-mods, closer to 225
the 1g is also capable of approx the same hp with free stuff done to it.
