I have been spending almost every penny I have to get my car projects going. My Teg project is about to hit $3k with most of the money going to the turbo set-up, this is within a 2 month time frame spending, just on a car modification. All quality products.... very serious components to go with the set-up.

As I sit here calculating my bills versus my annual income, I can actually afford to get a house for myself. I'm paying $940 a month on this single bedroom apartment, wherein I spend most of the time in the garage when I'm actually home. I know that I can find a house out there that will have lower monthly mortgage payment than my current apartment monthly bill. Dont get me wrong, the complex I'm staying at is the shiznit...just not practical.

I think that upon completion of this turbo Teg project which should be by spring, I will go ahead get me a house and be serious about spending. I dont plan on selling my Civic or Teg since the civic is paid off and the teg will be paid off within 2 years.

I think that most of you will agree that mortgage should've been my focus way back. My friends have told me the same. So here I am. My long term goal is set to definitely getting me a 2-3 bedroom house by the end of 2004.... Time to get serious......

Good luck with everything man. Keep those cars in your posession, the civic looks really good, and the teg - powerhouse baby. Good luck again!

please tell me that you didn't calculate your annual expenditures on rent, because when i did that i shat a brick. i thought, damn i just spent over $10K on rent and didn't get anything out of it. good move for you, get the house and start getting something for your money, the equity in the home will be great for you. you should look into getting a foreclosed home or something through HUD, you could get a big house for a good price and just have to fix it up a little.
