I got an "Invalid Item" thing. But if it's a Del Sol I already vote gay. Those things are like Miatas...they can be made to be fast, but why do you want a girl's car? Didn't even see the link and I can assure you my car will go faster and look better for a lot less money.

^No shit. A car is a car. No car made by Honda is gender pacific.

Well...let's se. It's an underpowered roadster with no defining lines or aggressive qualities. All of the lines merge together quite uncerimoniously to make a tiny little blob of a car. That and it just reminds me of a Miata and, as market research states, 80% of Miata owners are either divorced women or gay men (no, I didn't make that up). I'll agree that MOST of Hondas cars aren't gender typed, but I think their target market for the Del Sol is mostly women ages 25-50. Besides...it just looks like a pussy little car. But hey...that's just my $.02.

I actually don't see many women driving around in del sols...

^I know 2... he he he.... But on a side note: I know 2 delsols that are quite fast. One being my friend who has turboed B18C under the hood, pulling mid 12's and another with a straight USDM ITR motor.... for some reason it's fast....driver maybe?

I also get the "invalid item"

Well that only leaves one other option, doesn't it?

I have never seen a woman driving a mita, or a del sol. We even have a mita club around here with 20-30 mitas in it. Most are married.

so wait...clean lines make for a chick car?
well i guess that puts tvr in with them

Now, of all the people I know with sols, 1 is a girl. Same goes for miatas.

But I'll admit that 2/3 sol's are heavy under-powered cars

I would rather drive a car with clean lines then a 4000 pound domestic box.

but yea that del sol had a turbo b18c1 with boost controller 20g turbo, it could haul some azz. and yes i may buy a del sol.

yeah, i'm looking at a sol right now too...trying to get the damn guy to drop in price though. I got him down from 3500 to 3400, i'm shooting for 32 or 3300.

It's not a matter of having clean lines. A lot of good looking cars have clean lines. It's a matter of how those lines meet to form the body of the car. I look at a TVR and I think "now that's a mean looking f@cking car". I look at a Del Sol and think "awwww....how cute" or "BWAHAHAHAHAHA". Compare it to Hondas other model lines (sans the S2000). You look at their other models and think their grocery getters designed mostly for economy and A to B transportation. That's exactly what they're marketed as (with a little bit of pizazz to make it appealing). As for who drives them...I've honestly seen about 90% of Del Sols with black chicks behind the wheel. Not sure if there's any significance there. Always thought that was weird. But hey...like I said...that's just my $0.02. I find it hard to believe that my opinion matters that much to any of you.

Funny story...about a year ago I was out on a great spring night with the T-tops off the Mustang and just having a blast driving around some near deserted streets south of town. I pull to a light and this 20ish year old guy in a Del Sol tries to give me a cocky look (as cocky as one can be in a stock Del Sol) and motions like we should run 'em. I leaned out the window and just said "I've got a turbo'ed 331 man...there's no way. Save your gas and wait for a Neon". He still insisted he'd blow the doors off of my car and he was gonna go on green. Judging the view from my rear view mirror he must've put his car in reverse cuz he got smaller and smaller REAL fast.

hmm... i have nothing against del sols or their drivers, but from personal experience, in real life ive only seen one guy drive one and it was his moms (and i won some cash off him cause he thought it was "gonna smoke me")

Depends what you're driving. Also, I think you're confusing clean lines with generic ones. I can take one look at that car and tell you very little imagination went into it's creation. I might make an exception save for the fact that my "domestic box" (which actually weighs around 3400lbs) will hand it it's ass every day of the week and twice on Sundays on a road course or a drag strip while still being reliable as sunrise. Remember, a Probe falls just as much under the category of "domestic box" as a Mustang or Camaro...especially since Ford at one time was considering scraping the Mustang altogether and using the Probe as their flagship sports car. In fact, I can't think of an American sports car made in my lifetime that didn't have clean lines but still an aggressive look. Honda did that with the S2000 so you know they're capable of it. Why waste your time with an underpowered car that reminds me of a shoe (that's 1/2 of why I don't like Vipers...look like clown shoes)?

i don't like the front end on del sols but if you do a JDM ITR conversion on it and some other tail lams in te rear i can say that car would lose the chick appeal and look more like a roadster. plus the sols si are pretty intense cars to drive.

Lol. An MR2? Now I could maybe see a Ferrari...it's around the same size and that hood scoop might throw people off (although it reminds me more of a Camaro SS). But an MR2? Those are some tiny ass cars and a Probe isn't exactly small. Morons.
