00 R1 vs. 02 GSXR 600 vs. State Trooper Crown Vic

This is one of my favorites. My boss and I were out screwing around one night on the tollway on our bikes. It was roughly 2 AM and there was noone on the streets except us, or so we thought. We were both doing about 165. I had about 2000 RPM's left and I know he had a little left as well. We were coming up to this overpass and all of a sudden we both see red and blue lights ahead of us. Well I gave it a little more throttle and he did the same. The cop was trying to get a head start on us so he could catch us. We went flying past his ass at about 170. Not long after we passed him I saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. He turned off his lights and pulled back over. I guess he looked at his radar gun and decided there was no way in hell he was going to have a chance at catching us. I love that story.

You are abesolutley right. It was crazy and stupid at the same time. That is why I do that special kind of stupidity on the various tracks, or late at night when noone else is on the road. You are right though, it was pretty stupid. I just can't help it. Sometimes the inner Marine in me just comes out and there is nothing I can do about it.
