OK, I installed my front shocks and springs
i am trying to install my rear ones
i sprayed lots of WD 40 on those bolts already..
i still can't take them off, i have used all my strength to turn it, didn't work!!!
it's the bolts that hold the shocks on the control arm !
what can i do now??
help plz!!!
i was thinking of letting those ppl who has those AIR wrench to do it ! but i really want to save this 50 bucks and do it myself !!
and my brother suggested me to use a lighter to heat those bolts up and try to turn it.. it may help...
i didn't try it yet, i am so tired .. i will probably try it tomorrow
but i need more opinions from u guys !! let me know!!
I know i shouldn't post this on this board, but i know u guys, so u guys would help me out :P thanks alot !

You could try the Air Wrench.. You will probably end up doing like a bunch of us have done.. Break them, get them drilled out and put some anti-seize on them so hopefully they wont do it again.. Its a common problem with hondas really..

Probably your best bet.. Ive done it and had to have it drilled... My friends went through hell trying to get theirs out.. Its not worth it.

The front was easy......
i have no idea why the rear ones are so hard to take off..
damnit.. i am not happy :(
i really want to get it done by myself !!! SHIT !!
It's probably all rust inside.. welll well
how much do u think ppl will charge for just changing the rear ones??
i hope below 50 bucks.... CAD

you could also try using a breaker bar to get better leverage on the bolt. That might help break them free.

Try the other side of the bolt. Ont he struts there is a nut welded to the one side. You may be trying to turn that and not the bolt. I know it sounds stupid but im sure im not the only one who has done that. If that dont work get a BFH and lay into it a few times.

All good ideas...
What happens Xbird the bolt on the bushing rusts with the bolt and then fuse together.. Mine did in less then a year.. I had them out once fine with no probs.. Then the next time about a year later... Couldnt get either one out.

well well.. i let those mechanic did it
haha.. it was alot of trouble... damn.. it was expensive too
i heated the bolts up ! tried to get them out, NO it didn't work !! they were using thos BIG air gun ! well well.. then of course the bolt broke !! then they managed to take the whole control arm off ! then got that bushing out, and bought a new one, of course i paid for it ! damn.. then everything went good !!!
well well.. HOW MUCH?? .....................................
it was supposed to be 320 CAD, but then the boss wanted my springs, then he charged me 250 CAD !!!!
damn.. that's alot of money !!!!!
shit !!!
BTW, when i remove my exhaust, do i take that metal stick out of the rubber in order to get them off? or i can just unscrew the bolts??
let me know
thanks alot !!! MAN I GAVE THEM 250 CAD !!! SHHEEEIIITTT !!!

glad you got it all taken care of tho.. Those things can be a pain... Make sure they put some anti-seize on the new stuff to keep it from happening again tho.
