I know this is pretty wild, has any of you tried "drifting" with your accords? :bandit:

i was told that in order to correctly perform a 4-wheel drift, all wheels must lock causing the car to lose traction....Handbraking is a good way to do that. its the same effect as skidding in rain (when you brake to hard in rain) ;(

Move somewhere with snow ;)
I can hang my tail out safely on pretty much any slow-speed corner in the snow... It's damn awesome.
The best is when there's no one else on a slippery street, like like at night... I used to get up to a decent speed (say, 60 kph), then throw the car sideways before an upcoming cross street. The car would slide sideways for an eternity, then JUST hook up as it was passing the cross street. Oh, what fun I had ;)

if ur tires arte worn you even don't need to use the e-brake ;)

i do it up to 75mph on wet roads.

Drifting is not a safe practice I don't care if you think you are good at it or not. If you are drifting while driving then you are out of control, doesn't matter if it is an induced drift or not. Drifting is not a technique used by track racers is it? And do not say the WRC becuase I mean asphalt racing.

I know, I know... ;)
I don't even drive in the winter anymore!
Plus I only did that on abandoned streets and parking lots. I'm a pretty cautious person usually.

it's pretty fun to see yourself move sideways. ever see those driftmasters in japan? keichi tsuchiiya (the drift-king) does some crazy stuff!! i wanna go to a closed track and just drift. i tried a few times at nihgt while it was raining and no cars were around, its just fun, sometimes i make the car spin around instead of doing a three-point turnabout. no cars... yeah i know its dangerous, im not making it a habit :o

then go to Japan, becuase I don't know of any track in the US that allows crap like that to take place. Drifting competitions are "style" competitions. It takes some skill to drift controled. But it is a slow way around any track. Unless of course you are speaking of Rally.
