For those of you that wish to change to an amber color on your climate control...and dont want to paint them...that is the part #. Honda knows it as Neo Wedge Bulb for the 99-00 Si. They come w/ a bulb...just gently pull the amber condom off off and replace your blue one...you have to reuse your stock bulb because the fitment is different.
You will need 2 bulbs.

I will be doing this mod next weekend if you all want to wait for me to be the guinea pig

really wish i could change ALL the bulbs to amber or more preferrably blue. it seems to be quite a difficult task eithe getting blue condoms, or re-soldering blue LED's. I recently test drove the VW jetta 1.8t they have quite stunning interiors. every single thing is either red tinted or blue. anyways. yes! good find, now how can we get blue!? did i mention i need blue condoms!

Accords cost more upfront but then you guys dont have to pay extra $ for special damn bulbs...

me and a couple of my friends are doing a "group buy" on this website:
www.superbrightleds.com
They have all sorts of sizes, they even have the #74 size LED bulb replacements for the gauge clusters on most cars.
They are cheap as hell and 5 bucks for shipping no matter how many you buy
The website looks oldskool but its all legit, and you get your items within a week

what is the exact voltage and the technical info on the bulbs? well, more specifically lets say i wanted to switch out and re-solder all blue LED's on a 2002 civic... unless it's all universal sizes

you don't have to solder anything... the bulbs are just pull-out/twist-out type... (at least in my gen (and most cars in general)).
All car electronics are 12v. including led's.

Really? That's peculiar. Most LED's i have run into are usually soldered into the circuit board.. ill check to see wether or not mine are quick disconnect or solder on... JUST FYI: I'm talking about these panels:
Lower console :Circulate, AC and rear window defroster LED's..
Center console: climate control knobs LED's (volume, position, and temperature)
and i would LIKE to do the following:
cruise control LED
driver's window button LED

did the condoms today...lovin it
:)
Only took about 30mins with procrastination and frequent breaks
I also, took the defroster bulbs (2), removed the blue condom...making it "unprotected" (because the amber condoms are too large for this tiny bulb) and swapped them around...(1 w/ white condom for the "defroster on" light...1 w/ blue condom for "lit w/ headlights on") Doing this makes the "lit with headlights on" color more amber. The "defroster on" light already has an amber filter so its already "kinda" amber
