with twin uzis you could take out at least 2 cop cars full o cops - j/k (bad idea)

I say get em and be carefull where you use them, besides - its our right to bear arms and you can uphold it by buying those uzis.

well.. thay are really bullet hoses..pluss 9mm isnt the most powerfull... its doesnt do what a 45, or a 38 will do... when you shoot somebody with a nine, it would probably "mushroom" and leave some lead in um.. but when you shoot somebody with a 45, it will leave a HUGE hole in there back.. because it hits bone and.. yea keeps goign.. its pretty nasty but it matters.. i know if somebody had a gun on me, i want the worst for them.. haha.. and i guess you are looking at the simi auto, not the full. do you have a CC? anyway.. if i were you i would look at like a 45, 357 or 38. (357 and 38 are almost the same, you can shoot a 38 round out of a 357).. or maby some kind of shot gun.. like deez

Ive always wanted just a 9mm...nothing too fancy, but gets the job done

being a hunter (used to be anyways) shotguns and rifles just dont do it for me anymore...oh and 44mags dont either (but they did!)

Considering that a full-auto Uzi would be illegal.....I wouldn't recommend getting one. :) Hence the semi-auto.

Uzis are some of the least accurate POS's you can get. They're just bullet sprayers, don't expect to hit much from very far away.

If you want personal protection, sure a .45 is better. But for dumping lead downrange for fun, a 9mm is a lot cheaper to shoot.

If you really wanna have fun, get yourself an AR-15. Shoots damn fast, the barrels can usually take a lot of abuse, they're accurate, and not too expensive to shoot (altho can be pricey to buy). There's just something fun about emptying clip after clip and still hitting your target with every shot....800 rounds later, time to go home. :)

The AR-15 is basically the civilian version of the M16. The M16 is manufactured by Colt, however a number of companies make AR-15's based upon Colt specifications. Of course Colts cost a lot. Some are more similar to the M version than others.

AK-47 is a reliable weapon, but it's not accurate in the same way an M16 is. The AK-47 basically is a sweeper, the recoil causes it to shift to the side. That makes it a "mowing" type gun. The M16's recoil causes the barrel to hop up, so your pattern is more of a straight line from bottom to top, accurate to hit 1 person at a time. Of course that can be helped with a compensating flash suppressor. :)

AKs and ARs are fairly easy to buy. Last gun show I went to a guy was selling an AK with a 100 round drum clip for about $700. Insanely illegal? Sure. Very cool? You betcha. I'm still waiting to buy an AK-74...but good luck finding one. A Desert Eagle would also be wicked cool...45 or 50 cal. I'm gonna stay practical though and look at a Taurus 9mm. Uzis look cool and all...but all legal ones are semi-auto so it kinda takes some of the kick out of firing one. I've also got my heart set on an H&K MP5. *drool*

The drum clip is illegal? I'm not sure if it was legal before the ban or not, but my guess is that it probably was a perfectly legal gun.

The biggest thing that makes any assault rifle illegal is being converted to full auto or something similar, like 3-shot burst, etc. But things like clip size, etc. relates to the ban and it matters more when it was manufactured and a few other erroneous qualifications to determine its legality.

I'd love to get my hands on an MP5, but good luck. I'm not aware of any legal civilian models, does anybody know if there are?

I'm not sure what makes them illegal either, but 40 round banana clips are illegal so by that logic...

If you feel like taking a trip to AZ, you can rent one for $50/hr.

http://www.scottsdalegunclub.com/Firearms/HecklerKochMP5.html

Or a Kalashnikov (AK) or an M4A1 or an H&K G36K or a Steyr AUG A2 or a Colt M16A2 (silencer optional).

Apparently they also sell submachine guns. They have an H&K MP5 SD A-3 for sale for just over $11K

Mental note: Be on next plane to Scottsdale.

Well a 30-round banana clip for an AR-15 is perfectly legal, so long as it was manufactured pre-ban. That's federal law, of course. State laws may vary. I am not aware of any round limitations on pre-ban clips, but that's not to say there aren't any.

I'm also not aware of any semi-auto only MP5's, but again that's not to say there aren't any. If they're only manufactured with burst or full-auto modes, then they won't be legal for civilians.

An M-16 isn't legal for civilians, but an AR-15 is. If you buy the Colt, the only difference between the AR-15 and the M-16 is whatever adds the burst mode to the M-16.
