Well guys, i was gonna get a 96 integra...but the other day...i just thought, "**** it, i want something faster."
so for the last few days i've been looking for something turbocharged...
i want to find something for under 7k.
So far i've been looking at MKIII supras...and older 300zx's...
I really would love to go with the supra if i can find one thats nice enough. I also wouldn't mind a twin turboed last gen 300zx. But those are the only cars i know of that are turboed stock(besides eclipses and talons which a don't want).
Can someone give me a list of cars that come turboed stock. And what turbo cars would you reccomend...(please say MKIII supra)

WeeDub has the 1.8T's, not sure how far back their history of putting on the t-bones goes, so $7k may only get you a beater.

Volvo has some stock turbo cars too. Oh, wait, you said fast......forget Volvo.

I agree about the 240sx. They can be found for about 3k and the body and interior be in great shape, then you have 4k for a new engine and turbo.

Either o find a Talon or a Eclipse with the all-wheel drive turbo. Them are fast for being stock but then if u upgrade them then they will fly

Well, i'd rather not buy a car and sawp a turbo engine in there...i have no idea to do a swap and nor do any of my friends.
I'd rather stick with with a stock turboed car like a mkII supra(I hate how the MKIII's look...)
And i'd also rather get a 6 cyl than a 4...but if i do have to settle for a 4 banger i would like it to be AWD like a talon.
My whole situation here kinda sucks though, because the only cars for sale here are mainly trucks and mustangs...
I did find a 5.0 for 2000 though...maybe i'll look into that.

AWD on a 4? I dunno 'bout that now....lotta extra weight and extra inefficiency in the drivertrain. Sure it's "extra traction" but that doesn't do you any good unless you actually have a traction problem. Unless of course you run up some nice boost.

Hey I've got an '88 gold Volvo 240DL I can sell ya. It'll hold a 5.0 without too many mods. I'll sell it to ya for well less than $2k.

And dingo......ooga booga!

I dont think that anyother cars came with anything but 4's. The VR-4 has a straight 6 in it with 2 turbos But i think almost all AWD cars except lambos are 4's

My buddy is selling his 92 240sx with the KA engine in it, but it is turbocharged with a T4 kit to include a monster Skyline FMIC. It's a pretty fast car. He just had the engine worked at with some minor rebuild to include aftermarket pistons and piston rings..... I dont know what brand since I'm clueless about Nissan stuff. It does have a GC and KYB/AGX suspension combo along with a set of 17's Konig. He has a bunch of aftermarket parts that still needs to be installed but he doesnt want to pursue the project anymore due to personal reasons. The car is overall in great shape. He wants $7000 for it. Let me know if you're interested....

well, i'd rather NOT spend 7k...that is just the most i would spend...plus i dont have the cash right now(I'm working for it)
I am talking to a guy right now, with a MKIII supra that needs the engine replaced...i might go for that and just buy a used JDM engine and swap it in there...even though that'll be more work that i want to put into the car at first...I'm just gonna look around for a while to see what my options are for before i start jumping into things.

P.S it does sound like a nice car though..i'll keep it in mind

A4 1.8T OR 3.0 V6 can get Quattro. VW 4-Motion is only available on the V6 with an auto tranny.

Of course Imprezza and Evo are 4's. The Imprezza used to be NA 4 now turbo....but it was a large 4. Other Subies have 6's and AWD.

I've heard rumors that there are AWD Civics in CA (Ceh not Cali) with 4's of course.

Volvo has AWD in some of their 5's or 6's.

BMW only has AWD in their 6's.

Eclipse I'm not sure if the AWD was in the 4 or the 6, anybody know? I think it was the turbo 4, right?

What I meant to say in my above post is that AWD on a 4 can be a hindrance unless you have the power to put it to use. Of course an Evo or STi or WRX have plenty of power to put it to use. Pretty much any turbo 4 can get the power to put it to use, or perhaps any car in the snow can put it to use.....but say a Civic with AWD in Z Tejas......that's a big stretch. Ceh maybe, Tejas no.

Kyle, there's a '92 white Prelude Si I saw in my apt. complex yesterday that's for sale. I think $4k is what they wanted. Not sure on tranny.

Is the MKIII the one from like '87-'93? If so I would be careful, they are notorious for blowing head gaskets at around 100,000miles. It looks like you are looking for an older & cheaper car. I've always thought chrysler conquests looked neat however they are basically a talon/eclipse/laser, they just came first.

I would look for a celica all-trac or an mr2 turbo. RX-7's could get a turbo, buick grand nationals had turbos or you might be able to find an old pontiac sunbird gt :D . Those had turbos as well. A friend of mine had one, I guess it wasn't that bad but I wouldn't venture to say it was faster than an integra.

Those are about all the older turbo cars I can think of that weren't previously mentioned.

Oh yeah there's Saab too. I have no clue how quick those are though.

Dude...you don't even understand how much i would love to have a grand national or t-type...i freakin love those cars...they're damn expensive though. I actually have been looking for one, haven't found one for my price range though. And i do know about the MKIII's blowing headgaskets...I'm just not sure what i want right now. I know i want something fast, or something quick that i can make fast.
