ok i had been dating someone for the last year, it wasn't like we were reallly dating though because he only came to visit me a few times and usually only talked to me on the computer, because he is a total mommas boy. Anyway he went to college about 3 months ago and barely ever talks to me and when he did it was mostly all about him and he wanted me to just sit around and wait for him to finish 4 years of school 2,000 miles away.So i have been depressed and lonely for way too long i wasnt even happy when i was with him. So about a week ago one of my friends that i kinda knew liked me but i wasnt sure rode the bus 200 miles to come to my sisters wedding and be there for me then he told me that he like me and he wrote a song for me and played it on his guitar. So i finally got the courage to break up with my night mare for the last year and have been living in a dream ever since. I cant remember the last time i was this happy;)

That barely qualifies as a relationship.
Good thing you have yourself together now and are happy.

A realtionship shouldn't make you unhappy and miserable. You did the right thing by letting him go. This new guy sounds really romantic, traveling all that way and writing a song for you? Does he have a brother? LOL! I bet you've got a chronic case of perma-grin every time you think of him.

Why does that not suprise me shaved? Lol...jfwy.
I'm relieved to finally see a good thread on here where people aren't having problems...can I get a woot woot? Seriously though, I'm glad to hear you got out of your "relationship" with that dick. Although if this other guy had to travel 200 miles it sounds like another LD relationship. That's not by any means bad...just weird and different. The song writing thing always works. ;) I've done that a few times and played them at shows. Of course, since it's me, I always get the "that was so sweet...but I just wanna be friends". In any event....
Edit: Just remember what my grandma used to tell me (all of you): Don't settle for the one you can live with, wait for the one you can't live without.

I like your grandma shes smart. I know it's another ld relationship but its not that bad all most of my friends live that far away anyway and we just make trips. maybe i should move, but my b/f wants to move here when he can so it wont be so bad then.

I'm sure she'd have appreciated that. She's also the one who told me you should never be good friends with a member of the opposite sex that you couldn't see yourself marrying. Think about it...we've all had at least one of those friends that somewhere along the way something changes and your feelings for them hit you like a brick wall.

I am glad you are happy. There aren't many, "I am happy," threads around here. I'm guilty too though. I hope it lasts a long time for you.
