I wasn;t sure of where to put these so sorry if it needs to be moved...
this is my Valve cover that I painted. I worked on it over a period of 3 days...sanding priming and sanding some more to make sure it was nice and smooth.
Enjoy the pics and feel free to share your opinions....

Demonic and Whtehnda...looks nice!
About how much time did you guys spend on the under the hood mods?
I haven't read too many of your posts, but have you guys done other modifications too? (Exterior, Interior, Performance...etc)
If so, what would you say was the best mod you've done?

Well when I did my valve cover my clutch had gone out and it was sitting for 2 weeks until I got the $ for the ACT clutch I put in.
I took the valve cover out and hand sanded it and painted on it for a 3 day period. I would prime it then sand, prime and sand then yellow and sand and repeated til it was nice and smooth and the end result that you see in the pics. If I would've had a dremmel or something of that nature it probably would've been a little easier but good ole elbow grease never hurts.
Well I have quite a few mods to my car and all I've pretty much done myself w/ the exception of doin the clutch. I couldn;t really tell you what he best one was but the Valve cover came out better than I thought for a first time try and not sure what to do... ;)

Looks good man, Now you just need to either polish that heat shield or get a header. Your VC looks almost powder coated, what kind of paint did you use?

Thansk RxR...I actually redid the heatashield to match but I never put it back on. I'm actually in the process of getting a set of headers for my ride so I'll have the pic of that to show here in teh next 3weeks.
As for the paint that I used I did a base coats of yellow were the Yellow heat resistant paint and then I went over that w/ Yellow Krylon. About 3-4 coates or so. The main thing was I sanded it after each coat tehn hit it again.
Hope this helps....:)

I was told that if you take the valve cover then you have to replace some kind of seal or something, is that true? Is it basically just the bolts in the corners holding it on?

Pretty nice d00d! I'd like to paint mine also, probably blue color since the rest of my car's color/motif is blue...........so does one neet to replace any kind of gasket when removing the valve cover? From what I've seen/heard you just take it off and when your done put it back on but i'm not too swift on the mechanic side of cars so my guess is as good or worse as any!
Damn man...thats tight...I'd love to paint mine red...i'm goin for a white/red look wit my car...how exactly did you do that?
Thanks
