****** it...

I didn't even do anything but I've had a bad knee for a LONG time now...

It acted up a couple of weeks ago then went away... No it's back and it got ALL SORTS of swollen...

Finally went to the doctor today... gotta get an mri on it... and he drained like a pint of fluid out of my knee with a horse needle...

Oh did I mention it's my left knee and my car is standard... Whoopeee...

Just bitching.

Cut off your leg.

Is your knee problem related to playing sports? Hopefully it is nothing major which would require surgery.

it's DEFINATELY going to require surgery to regain normal use of the knee... it's just a matter of when it goes "bad enough" for the mri to see it...

I've already gotten an mri when the same thing happened 2 years ago... it showed the miniscus (cartlage in the knee) was NOT torn... even though my doctor was "sure" it was... he had no doubt till he saw the mri... So insurance won't pay for the surgery till the mri shows it clearly...

So kinda sucks... I think I'm gunna get screwed again... I may just have to bite the bullet eventually and tear it myself...

And as far as cause... I don't know I've always been pretty rough on my knees as far as jumping off of things and skating but I think working in a resturant in boston constantly having to squat on one knee in the pitcher's position did it in...

They drained a LOT of fluid out of it which was just about the most bone jarringly painfull thing I've ever experienced. Keep in mind I've gotten several fillings done w/o novicane... This sucked... it wasn't constant but every once in a while the kneedle would scrape against the underside of my kneecap... It was horrific...

Anyway I'm walking much better today with the fluid drained though...

Have to go back to work on monday which should be interesting...
