Anyone here adv. ther timming?

Just wondering how many ppl with 2g integras are advancing there timming? and how much?
I ask cause my buddy has a 95 and he advanced his 4 deg. Said it made a huge imporvement off the line and over all, but after a few races that night his #3 piston smacked the sh$t out of his exhaust vavle.
Anyone else?

Advancing your timing does give you a bit more power. I wouldn't go farther than +2 degrees to 18 degrees timing for normal street use. You will however be required to use stictly premium (high octane) fuel to avoid pinging otherwise you may do damage to the motor as exhibited by your friend in a worst case scenario situation.
