Damn you honda-tech.com...damn you and your petty ways and poor ethics.

ok...as an avid browser of honda-tech for information on the critical knowledge of hondas, I find no surprise when I see someone post crap about how they just recieved their crappy motor from OsakaMotors...no one there ever is surprised to see those kinds of posts. In fact, most people who visit the site would say that knowing that osaka sucks is just common knowledge. However, today I saw something that really surprised and dissapointed me. At the top of the page I saw an OsakaMotors banner...an ad for their crappy motors right there where everyone can see. God save the new people who find it and dont know what everyone else does...

After posting my question about why it was there, I got the simple answer of "because they sponsor the site"...and then my thread was deleted, because...well we all can figure it out.
It surely is a sad thing when a place like honda-tech takes money over ethics.

A big thumbs down for honda-tech...a big thumbs down indeed

I really hope hst never has to do such a heinous thing...

(sorry but had to say it somewhere)

Trust me...it's not just that site that keeps a poor ethical standard. Many others do as well. My friend invited me to join a (of all things) Monte Carlo SS board on which he was a moderator. After a while on there I made a few posts in what turned into a Chevy vs. the world thread (along with some other non-Chevy owners) and immediately got an email from the site administrator saying that more "inflamitory" posts wouldn't be tolerated because it was a "Chevy oriented site". Now as most of you know my posts are 1/2 and 1/2...1/2 are blatant attempts to piss people off just for the effect of pushing someone's buttons and the other 1/2 are well thought out and somewhat polite means of making my point. After stating that it was basically his way or the highway, I copied and pasted the email on the board with my response (which I also sent to the site admin.). After about 20 member of the board replied in MY defense (and none in opposition), the thread was deleted and I was banned from the board. Not a huge setback...it was a Monte Carlo board. But that would never happen here without some SERIOUSLY out of line posts on my part. So we should all give a big hand to the site administer for keeping some standard of ethics and tolerance (even if the constant pop-ups are pretty annoying).
